Misfits On Main

It's a break from the Misfit norm, as ila and CJ take the reigns this week and you should check out this episode to see if things stay on the rails or not?! TONS of new features, including a ONCE in a lifetime outro this week. Mackee, we all look forward to your return for sure! Aside from that, it's business as usual while our hosts tackle Keep, Crush, Re-Imagine in CJ and ila's favorite park, Disney's Animal Kingdom. Tough choices are made including one of CJ's favorite attractions, Kilimanjaro Safaris, and one of ila's favorite snacks, Buffalo Chicken Chips being put on the chopping block. Flight of Passage gets some changes? Camp Minnie Mickey returns? DO NOT miss this episode to see why!!

The midbreak becomes a mini-show in itself while 2/3 of the MIsfits dissect Pixar's Soul in Stream It or Skip It. There are some really passionate feelings regarding this movie. No spoilers are given, but if you're on the fence, listen now to see if they sway you one way or the other! ila also covers the Disney Christmas Special and what exciting Disney Cruise Line news she has for one of the newest ships coming to the fleet. What bronze statue is coming to the Disney Wish!?

There is a lot of Disney news in Hot Topics this week, including the return of Park Hopping to Walt Disney World. The hosts talk some of the current ins and outs of the program but remind you to keep an eye out for the recent changes on the app. With certain changes on the horizon, don't miss this important news to get the basics. For the Park Hopper hotline, call (407- 560-5000) They also discuss the touching video Marvel recently released about Stan Lee on the late actor's birthday. 'Tis the season for the Misfit's very first holiday show and The Mafia shows up in a big way to make it one for the ages. Discussing your holiday memories, favorite stories, and what this last year has meant to so many of you highlights the very first "Mismas" in the best way possible. From some really big, first-time caller, news to kick off the show to an important message from a regular caller whose voice has been a constant, this is another show that is very driven by you and brings the feels!

Hot topics take a vacation as CJ brings some fun facts about the holiday in Walt Disney World to remember the days we all will see again. Do you know how may lights cover the tree in Magic Kingdom? How about the beloved Dreamlights? These are some seasonal stats you don't want to miss. While things are new this week, the mid-break also took a turn and features a poem from one of our hosts and two guests. The Misfits have their own Christmas story?

Driving in snow, Florida weather hate, and jalapeno Pringles vs multiple possible Misfit breakups?, pineapple pizza, and 'beanies"... what are the Mickey bars, and what are the Molotovs? You tell us! "You don't have a head for hats".

Most important this episode, how thankful all of us at Misfits on Main are to have you as our extended family this holiday season. While 2020 brought a lot of hardships, it also brought us together and will always be the year "The Misfit Mafia" started. Its been a therapy of sorts for us as hosts and something we have all enjoyed building with you. Happy Holidays to you and yours and may the end of 2020 be filled with family and love. See you all in 2021, The Misfits on Main.

What brought the Misfits to Main Street? How did our three hosts meet? What wheels were in motion before this podcast adventure? Today, you all hear the full story of how this trio came to be and what set the wheels in motion for this very podcast. From Mackee and CJ's very first meeting to the game-changing addition of ila, there's more than meets the eye and a long road trip to the start of this podcast. It's an episode you really cant miss if you're part of the Misfit Mafia and want to know more about out hosts.

Mackee takes on the mid-break this week to talk about a brand new way you can get involved in our community! The NEW Misfits on Main Discord server has launched for the entire Mafia to interact with your hosts and fellow listeners in a fun and carefree environment. Want to meet more like-minded listeners? Share your Disney love? Check out the Misfits On Main Discord now and come out and play! https://discord.gg/RPZtKCB3kN (please be sure and check in on the rules section for access to the entire server)

Hot topics send our hosts on a rager, but ila brings things around with some exciting news from Disney+ regarding some Star Wars series on the horizon. It's a good news segment we all needed to tie up sad news about food banks closing, a "celebrity" assault on a Cast Member, and an Annual Passholder "GIFT" from Walt Disney World that flips the hosts out.

Mickey bars and Molotovs takes us all over the place and gives us all the feels, but one thing no one saw coming, CJ's Uber experience that left all three hosts with a lump in their throats. Check it out now so you don't miss a minute of the Misfit Magic.

In this week's episode, the Misfits use their "get out of jail free card" to head to Epcot's International Festival of the Holidays for their Death Row Disney Snackfest! That's right, throw out the rules of previous Death Row Disney Meal episodes, this culinary throwdown is all about noshing on small bites during Epcot's Holiday feast. Which Misfit goes FULL graphic and will leave the vegans running? Who has a couple "surprises" on their list? DONT LISTEN WHILE HUNGRY, but be sure to download now!

Hot topics take some touching turns as our hosts discuss the recent memorialization of Chadwick Boseman in the Marvel franchise as well as the passing of the man behind the Darth Vader mask, David Prowse. Icons in both the roles they played, the Misfits take some time to pay their respects and talk about each actor's impact on the world. There is also some chatter about the very first Disney+ show to rank in the Nielsen top ten for streaming services. Any guesses who made the cut?

Gender norms are bashed in the Misfit Midbreak as Santa is played by Anna Kendrick and all hosts are in support. CJ also brings an "ila anticipated" trip report and talks about what the Holiday decor around Epcot is looking like. Rounding out, the Misfits go all in their feelings. From hot dog musicals to Small Shop support, there is a lot that doesn't make sense on paper, but is a must listen.

Is it a "bop to the top" or a Misfit drop when CJ watches The Disney Channel original, High School Musical, for the very first time!? The movie that spawned a trilogy, a TV series, and a Zac Efron gets tackled by our resident Disney dad and he certainly shares his thoughts. What do Mackee and ila have to say? What does this movie of ila's youth mean to her? You also won't want to miss a Kenny Ortega lesson from the Mackee Mouse, giving you some insight on parts of the movie you may not be aware of. Generation gaps may or may not be bridged on this episode.

There's a Misfit Mafia voicemail that hits all three hosts separately, keep those calls coming! The Misfits love hearing from you. Hot Topics include hot takes on McDonald's Happy Meals. Hoping to win that dream vacation to Walt Disney World on the back of a Happy Meal? You may want to give a listen to this episode. The hosts also discuss the retirement announcement from Joe Rohde and reminisce about his career projects. There is also, finally, some good news from Disneyland. Beuna Vista Street has reopened to guests for shopping and dining experiences and are some thoughts from our hosts, for sure.

Hear ila's love for a cartoon from down under as the Misfits discuss, "for real life", Bluey. What is it about this kid's cartoon that has ila and CJ so enamored and will it spawn a future Through the Eyes of Mackee?! Finish off with a Mickey bar and Molotov as the trio go deep and talk things from office feng shui to marshmallow fluff and ila even glitches a little. Don't miss a minute and DOWNLOAD NOW!

The Misfits have returned to the Island to start up Season Two and on this week's episode they catch you up on all that's happened during their break. From new projects and Disney trips to BIG life news, a lot has happened in a short time off for the trio. With a whole season of content ahead, the hosts also discuss some new and exciting ideas coming for the season. Season 2 will certainly be a season with some changes, drop a listen to find out what's coming and what's been up!

A couple of weeks off didn't prevent some callers from dropping their thoughts on the voicemail and the Misfits loved it. From a Disney+ special to a unique idea for The American Adventure, The Misfit Mafia still showed up for the season premiere and gave some serious humor and food for thought. There is a little hot water in the hot takes as the topic of fireworks testing leads to some passionate thoughts and high hopes.

There's a LOT of TV to watch in the Misfit break as Stream It or Skip It and Background Noise run the roost for the week and the hosts think you'll be happy with what they come up with. Sit down with those warm blankets, it's TV season! Mickey bars and molotovs round the show out and covers topics from the crazy nature of daylight savings to the fear of fake heart attacks.

The Misfit Mafia came out to play and despite some recording issues this season finale ranks high with all three hosts. YOU, the listeners, made this episode extremely special so ila, CJ, and Mackee decided this episode needed to be shared in its original form so you hear the genuine reaction to your calls and questions. Does Emo CJ make an appearance? What questions stump our hosts? Do some callers give The Misfits ideas for Season 2 shows? Drop that download and battle through the audio quality to be with the hosts as they play your voicemails live.

Things start off with calls of thanks and congratulations from around the globe, reminding the hosts that the best part of this journey has been the community grown around it. One caller brings a Hot Topic from the West Coast, discussing the hard topic of Disney layovers.

Of course, the last Mickey bars and Molotovs of the season get a little emotional. The hosts discuss the reason for the delay in this episode and what have been some of their mickey bars to help them through season one. CJ isn't the only one who gets a little misty.

From The Hosts:  Hey yall, it's the Misfits. Just breaking the third wall of our show notes to thank you all for the support these last 25 episodes! Season 1 may be wrapped, but this is just the start of our podcast and this community and we have YOU to thank. From inception, we wanted this show to hit home with our fellow "misfit" Disney lovers... and YOU CAME FOR IT in a way we never saw happening. We are just three misfit Disney lovers looking to share our unabashed views on the place that means so much to us. Because you "smash that like button", download, and subscribe, we get to live out this dream and we are beyond thankful every time we step behind a microphone. We cannot wait for Season 2 and will see you real soon! ila, CJ, and The Mackee Mouse!

We are wrapping up the season with our new charity highlight, Spirit of Children, and asking you in the Misfit Mafia to help us make a difference. To make a donation, head here https://www.spirithalloween.com/product/spirit-of-children-donation/101348.uts.

Put your Imagineering hat on, dream big, and download now to hang out at The Misfit Kingdom with The Misfits on Main!

The season finale is on the horizon and Hot Topics brings the explanation of what you can expect during the season one break. With the ongoing Disneyland news, the hosts want to keep you up to date and will be sharing breaking news on the podcast's Instagram page. CJ, ila, and Mackee also deep dive into the growing story of a Hocus Pocus 2 and what they think of the reopening and reimagining of Chef Mickey's and Disney's Contemporary Resort.

The mid-break has the hosts talking Sorcerers of The Magic Kingdom, hyping some season two content, AND a Stream It or Skip It about the Disney+ original, Becoming. Are these two things you must do, or both worth passing by?

The second to last Mickey Bars and Molotovs of the season and The Misfits are still talking food. Did you expect anything else? From "I love lemons" to the TRUE perfect companion for a chocolate chip cookie, the Misfits feed your Disney soul and your food imagination. Wrapping up the Inquisition series, CJ has the microphone flipped and has questions asked of him. Usually the one asking questions of his co-hosts, what happens when CJ takes the backseat and ila and Mackee drive the show topic? There are a variety of questions regarding Disney, photography, and even one question that leaves all three hosts fairly speechless. If you loved this series, be sure and check out the other inquisitions of Mackee and ila!

Voicemails this week include some surprises no one sees coming, including a running voicemail and the answer to our mystery "emoji reviewer". There's also a Misfits on Main first, a call-in hot topic that really hits close to home for one of our three hosts, the laying off of 28,000 Disney employees. It's a tough topic to discuss with so many CMs across the board losing their jobs, what do the Misfits have to say? Download now to find out and if you would like learn how you can help Cast Members in need during this time, head to the Cast Member Pantry page on Facebook located here: https://www.facebook.com/castmemberpantry

As always, Mickey bars and Molotovs (mazel tovs?) end the show and the hosts get a little giddy for sure. From garlic breath and mother nature being a monster to Tony Hawk Pro Skater and a romantic date for two, the Misfits cover all bases in their feeling segment to wrap things up!

Curious what the Misfits would choose as entertainment if they are lost on an island? What about replacing a beloved daytime parade?! Or, the ultimate gauntlet throwdown by one of our hosts, Disneyland or Walt Disney World?! YUP! One stays and one goes. This is the ultimate "I can't believe you made me do that" episode and you can play along! Its "Disney Would You Rather? Second Edition"!

Things kick off with a repeat caller voicing the opinion of many in the Misfit Mafia regarding the cancellation of the Dream Lights. People aren't happy and ila, CJ, and Mackee try there best to calm the storm with some positivity. There are things our hosts look forward to this holiday season in Walt Disney World. Hot topics include Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend and Princess Half Marathon being moved to virtual races and how long will it be before the next Walt Disney World water park reopens? Spoiler... its not on the horizon

The mid-break brings a fun take on Background Noise with a brand new topic from Mackee. Are you a Netflix, Hulu, or Disney+ viewer? Don't miss "Stream It or Skip It"! ila Also announces her upcoming takeover of the Misfit IG for a fun outing!

Things wrap up with a very cute feelings segment featuring one of our youngest Misfits!
