A maid at the Rockford Inn hotel opened the guest’s door to find the floor of the room covered in blood. Amy Pitzen’s lifeless body was lying on the carpet.

In May 2011, Jim Pitzen took his son, Timmothy, to school, and his wife Amy, to work. He resumed his normal day. But when he arrived at the school that afternoon to pick 6 year old Timmothy up for the day, his world changed. Timmothy wasn’t at the school. Administration stated his mother, Amy, had picked him up with the story of a “family emergency.” Unbeknownst to Jim, that morning drop off would be the last time he saw his son.

Is Timmothy being raised by strangers? Or did the most unthinkable thing happen? And what part did his mother play in it all?
