While it's easy to judge at arms-length, perhaps our lives are not so different from his. What lessons can we learn from the life of Judas? God reminds us continuously of His POWER over and PRESENCE in the midst of a world seemingly unglued. There are objective realities that can bring peace into our lives today and forever. What are these realities? How do we navigate the chaos? What brings calm into our souls? What does God want us to focus on when things are seemingly spiraling out of control? Join us as we unpack some wonderful truths guaranteed to change our lives as we look at Luke 21:25-38.

ANCHORS. We all need something to deeply stabilize us when the storms of life hit. This past year+ has shown us that what we thought we could trust in wasn't really that strong in the end. Do anchors even exist that can secure our hearts and souls in difficult circumstances? What are we to focus on, and even nurture, in our lives that will help anchor us in troubling times? What tools has God given to us to help us keep perspective in the midst of the storms?

PIETY. A word that means devotion, especially in spirituality. Unfortunately, we mostly hear of someone being "pious" in a negative context. Can piety be a good thing? The difficulty with evaluating piety is to determine the difference between external and internal MOTIVATIONS. What motivates me in my relationship with God? What motivates me in my love for others? What does my faith look like when no one is looking? What does a God-honoring, healthy piety look like? We're excited to dive into Luke 20:45-21:4 with you and praying for our time together.

AFTERLIFE. What we know and think about life after death will determine how we live our lives today and what we value as important now. Because we lack a compelling vision of our futures/eternity, many of us lack understanding and power to live the lives of joy and contentment that God has designed us to live. What are we to think of death? What does eternal life look like and how does the topic of resurrection factor into our understanding? How different will our lives be in eternity compared to our lives now? Join us for a life-transforming dialogue

GOVERNMENT. A polarizing topic indeed. Especially when you add GOD into the mix. We tend to think God and government are at odds with one another. We fail to have a healthy balance in understanding of the role government in our lives. With a lack of understanding comes a lack of respect and submission to government. What is to be our approach with this topic? What role does God want government to play in our lives? How might we impact our culture more positively with re-framing our understanding and discourse of God and government? Join us as we tackle this topic together tomorrow as we look at Luke 20:20-26.

EXPOSE. There's nothing hidden that won't eventually be brought into the light. While hiding seems like a temporarily good choice and a safe refuge, it cannot bring contentment and joy in the long run. We long to be found out, but fear it will be unpleasant and unsatisfying. God seeks to bring light to the darkness, health to the sick, joy to the discouraged, and truth to falsehood. How does God expose us without destroying us? What exactly does He expose within us? What does He give us that is better than what we've been trying to hide?

PEACE. Seeking after peace is an ever-elusive journey for most of us. It doesn't have to be that way. God gives peace, but not as the world gives. How do we access this peace? What does that peace from God look like? What difference does God's peace make in our lives? Join us for an important conversation about this topic tomorrow as we look at Luke 19:28-44

INVESTMENT. All of us have been entrusted with TIME, TREASURE, and TALENT. These things are gifted to us and are to be used ultimately to make a difference for time and eternity. How we think about the future will significantly impact how we "spend" those things presently. What have you been given? Do you think beyond yourself when using these gifts? How importantly does God factor into your day-to-day choices and activities when it comes to these things? What are you investing in now that will make a difference in eternity? To whom are we accountable with these items?

SEEKING. We seek after many things in our lives. Some more important than others. Oftentimes, we seek the most meaningful things in the most meaningless ways and end up frustrated. Things of value like spirituality, identity, purpose, and significance are sought after without knowing God and knowing others genuinely. We can end up with emptiness instead of fullness and misery instead of joy. How can we avoid a life of discontentment? How do we orient our lives to seek after things that bring lasting joy? What place does God play in discovering a life of ultimate value?
