This week we conclude our series in the book of James called "FAITH THAT'S NOT DEAD". We have been focused on ensuring our faith is alive and active. James reminds us that saving faith is an active faith. The Apostle argues that if your faith is going to save you it should be alive and active. That is why we believe that saving faith is alive, not dead.

This week we conclude with a focus on prayer. A living faith in a living God is actively interacting with that living God. Our prayer life is active and alive if our faith is alive. We know the power of the God we worship and so we take the issues in our life to Him to get His help. If we are struggling then we go to Him with our struggles. If we are doing well then we praise Him for our joys. We know that all things come from Him and so we are interacting with Him as we navigate our lives.

This weekend we continue in our series through the book of James called FAITH THAT’S NOT DEAD. As we work our way through this powerful book of the Bible we are learning how to make sure we have a living faith. Our faith must be active and alive if we are to have the power we need to navigate the world we live in. It is vital today that followers of Jesus do not fade into the background but instead step forward leading our lost world to God.

Join us this weekend as we are reminded that when our faith is alive we are investing temporary earthly resources to produce eternal gains. When we choose to join Jesus in His mission, we learn how to turn physical gold into eternal treasure. James reminds us this week not to place our faith or enjoyment in the comforts of this life. We should instead preserve and even sacrifice to do the good God calls us to. We are called to a higher standard and must remember to remain focused on the eternally or we will fail to invest correctly.

This weekend we continue in our series called "FAITH THAT'S NOT DEAD". In this series we are working our way through the book of James. Jesus' half brother was a pastor of the church in Jerusalem working with the Jewish Christians in the new movement of Jesus.

This week we move into chapter 4 where James addresses the hearts of the people regarding their loyalties and affections. He challenges them to resist the pull of the world to fall in love with it, follow it, and be attached to it. The truth is that we are given this life to live it to the fullest. The truth is only as we put God first, love Him and live for Him can we learn to truly live this life to the fullest. Our hearts are drawn to the world and what it has to offer. This temptation is strong and getting our heats and minds to focus on God and live for Him is always a struggle.

This week we are challenged to resist the pull of the world by ensuring our Faith is Alive. With a faith that is alive we are constantly maintaining our hearts when they get drawn into a desire for the world and what it has to offer. Join us this weekend as we are reminded to resist the temptation of the Devil to live for the world instead of for God.

This weekend we continue in our series called "FAITH THAT ISN'T DEAD". This series is a study in the book of James. We have worked our way to chapter 3 of James which focuses on leadership in the church.

This week the topic centers around the essential nature of wisdom over just knowledge. Knowledge gives us power and in the world, will help us advance to leadership positions. In the church leaders must have wisdom. Wisdom is the application and use of knowledge with godly character. Jesus established the church to be a place where the influence of Jesus is seen in the lives of His people. This demands the application of the truth into our lives and this is what James is pressing on us in our passage for this week.

The motives that help us advance in the world must not be the motives of people in the church. Selfishness leads to wicked sinful behavior and so this week we learn to be motivated by the character traits Jesus teaches us to live by. Our churches must resist the culture of the world around us and instead implement the culture Jesus creates.

Join us this week as we get our focus on true wisdom and the implementation of it into our lives and our church.

If you’re anything like me, your mouth can quickly get you into trouble! So often our struggles are the direct result of a fiery tongue that is not being tamed. We read passages like James 3:1-12 and often view it from the typical lens of “What do I need to stop doing?” While there is some need for that, the real call here is to control the tongue not bite it!

This weekend we continue in our series called "JAMES - Faith That Isn't Dead". Our lesson this week teaches us that Living Faith Works. We are Saved by Grace through Faith and we are to work out our salvation with fear and trembling. Are these truths from the Bible contradictory? This weekend we continue our series called "FAITH THAT'S NOT DEAD". We are working our way through James' epistle. Though James was probably the top leader of the church in Jerusalem, his letter was not written to a specific church. This epistle is likely the first New Testament book written that we have in our Bible's. Written by the half brother of Jesus it has a strong tone and is filled with "mini lessons" intended to guide believers in Jesus, into lives that reflect a "living faith".

The sermon this week involves having a correct view of others. The behavior that is challenged this week is the human tendency to place higher values on people based on human criteria. James, through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, says that the true Jesus follower will place equal value on every person due to the fact that they are children of God. We need to check our motives by how we treat people. As people cross our paths we should see them and value them equally. This reflects the heart of God and shows that we are true followers of Jesus with Faith That's Not Dead.

This weekend we continue in our series called "FAITH THAT'S NOT DEAD". This series is from the book of James written by Jesus' half brother who was an Apostle in the early church. Perhaps the oldest New Testament book we have, the focus is on how to make sure you have a living active faith.

James will argue, faith that is not being put into practice is dead and useless. Written with a strong tone, James gives a treasure trove of valuable instruction on ensuring that we are living out what we claim to believe.

This is perhaps one of the greatest needs in our world today, which is, Christians who are living out the faith we claim. The world is looking for something real. It is only as we put into practice what God's word says, that we have an authentic, real, transferable faith. Join us this weekend as we continue to work our way through the Book of James. This week our focus is on "Not Just Listening". The real key to the Christian life is putting what we learn into practice.

This weekend our Christmas series called THE GIFT culminates in our Christmas Eve services. Our grand finale for this series is Christmas Eve when we celebrate the coming of Jesus. He came in humility and with little recognition.

The world was unaware that God himself was coming to live among us on that quiet night in Bethlehem. Born of a virgin by the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus, the gift, came to change our world forever. This Gift would usher in a new era, a new covenant between God and man.

This gift, who was God himself, would come bringing a new birth, he would come full of gracious truth, and ultimately he would come to take our sin away. And so on this Christmas Eve we learn the significance of this gift and what we must do to receive the gift. Jesus, makes the offer of a relationship, a connection with our Father in heaven. We can walk with the God who created us. We can lose that feeling of being alone or isolated, the eerie sense that there is more to this life.

Something is missing but what is it? Jesus said that what was missing in our lives was the forgiveness needed to be the children of God we were created to be. We have a Father in Heaven and we were made in his image. Join us for one of our Christmas Eve services as we discover the gift that was given to the world 2000 years ago. On a quiet night so many years ago our world was changed forever when the God who made us, came to dwell among us.
