In episode 3, I chat with Tom Hymn, a long-standing creative in the Grand Rapids music community! We chat about Songs from the Annex (his recent album on the indie label Jugo + Rada Records) and how it fueled his creative drive in response to losing his job and being isolated during the 2020 stretch of the pandemic.   

In episode 2, I chat with Patty PerShayla, a fierce voice on and off the stage in the Grand Rapids music scene! Patty gives me some insights into her Patreon, information on her current focuses as a creative, and the transformation of her shared home with fellow artist Sandra Effert into a space that encourages creativity.

In episode 1, Caleb Elzinga and I talk about creating, exploring social media platforms as musicians, our friends doing cool stuff in the scene, and what goals we have as artists and educators after reflecting on 2020. 

Caleb Elzinga is a saxophonist and Michigan music collaborator who has made a name for himself in West Michigan as a flexible, skilled performer and multi-faceted educator. One can hear his work on a variety of projects in jazz groups like Blushing Monk, funk collectives like GrooveGround Music,  retrowave outfits like Von Kaiser, and even with recent performances as the new member of the American rock band Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seeker.
