The News Of The Week segment certainly lives up to its name this week as we must talk about the subject on everyone’s mind, the coronavirus. Unfortunately, the virus has spread to the point where major film festivals like South By Southwest have been cancelled and major film releases like No Time To Die have been moved. So we cannot help but discuss this pandemic from multiple angles, from annual box office projections to spring film festivals to studio control of the calendar, and of course, to what this all could mean for the upcoming awards season.

In DYC, we enjoy some fun topics like the first look at the new Batmobile, a confirmation of a former Batman headed to the MCU, and the new director for the horror sequel to Doctor Strange. Then of course, we need to pay tribute to the life & legendary career of Max Von Sydow.

You get a box office update as Pixar’s Onward took the top spot, and then we review some new movie trailers for Lord & Miller’s Connected, Tom Hanks in Greyhound, The Other Lamb, Seven Stages To Achieve Eternal Bliss, and Dream Horse.
