As usual, we cover a ton of subjects this week on MMOW. But to freshen things up, we have made some changes to the order of the segments. With all the upcoming movie news heading into awards season, we’re gonna have to make some tweaks. So in this episode, we open with our News of the Week on Halloween 2020, followed by Trailer Thoughts on Stranger Things + a bunch of Oscar films, and per usual, the Audience Interaction segment remains our centerpiece, where we give you another SixDegreesOfMMO & recap a fun Twitter Question. After that, we have a Box Office Update on Toy Story 4 and the summer sequel problem. Then we chat about next week’s theatrical releases and a few news stories in Do You Care before we continue with a loaded What We’re Watching segment. In closing, we need to weigh in the heavy news surrounding Max Landis, and we have some serious things to say there.

We’ve added some stakes and a higher degree of difficulty to our forthcoming SixDegreesOfMMO challenges, both for this week’s particular game and for the long haul. It does affect that winner’s circle. So we’re hoping you’re all thrown into the frenzy of competition.

The biggest story, for us at least, also surrounded a previous re-watch series from MMO. Halloween 2020 has been greenlit, and we’re all over it. We recap the 2018 film’s production story, discuss some hollywood dealmaking, and tell you everything we know thus far about the heralded sequel. Then since we had so many new Oscar movie trailers drop on our heads, plus the next look to the beloved Stranger Things and the terrifying Midsommar, we also decided to bump Trailer Thoughts to the early portion of the show.
