On Thursday, October 14, Alex Murdaugh was arrested on two felony charges related to the Gloria Satterfield Case. Those charges of obtaining property by false pretenses, each carrying up to 10 years in prison.

Will he be able to get out of this?The charges stem from a $3.5 million settlement for Gloria Satterfield's death, which Murdaugh allegedly misappropriated. Eric Bland, representing Satterfield's sons, expressed relief but criticized the limited initial charges.

Bland believes more federal charges, including mail fraud and money laundering, will be filed. The new developments also suggest Murdaugh's law firm and associates may know more than they are letting on.
