A man described as a “budding serial killer” was placed in a state-approved mental health residential care home in Columbia, South Carolina, where he allegedly killed and cannibalized two individuals over a five-month period.

The accused consumed the ears of both victims and drank one victim’s blood.

Jared Ondrea was the first victim. Attorneys Joe McCulloch, and Dick Harpootlian filed lawsuits on behalf of Peggy Ondrea, the grandmother of Jared.

In this interview, McCulloch and Harpootlian lay out why this tragedy should never have happened and who all was responsible.

On September 30, 2024, Ty'Ran Tyrell Dixon, a professional football player from Columbia, SC was detained by law enforcement and told there was a warrant for his arrest of murder that occurred in Barnwell, SC on October 15, 2023.

Dixon not only did not commit the murder, he was never even charged with the murder and he was never in Barnwell, SC.

Dixon spent 66 days imprisoned. That included trips on "con-air" and over thirty days in solitary confinement.

Dixon and his attorney, Joe McCullouch, talked to Seton and Matt about the nightmare that Dixon lived for over a month.

Asha Degree was just nine years old when she disappeared from her home in Shelby, North Carolina, more than 25 years ago. Since then, various law enforcement agencies, including local, state, and federal authorities, have been working to solve the case. In the past few months there appears to have been some movement in the case.

In this episode we hear from the hosts of the podcast Crackhouse Chronicles https://www.crackhousechronicles.com/ . Donnie Peeler and Dale Champion, have been involved in the case of Asha Degree since her disappearance in 2000. They have done many episodes on the case since starting their podcast and have a unique vantage point due to the fact they are from Asha's hometown of Shelby, NC.

In September 2024, several search warrants were executed by law enforcement agencies, including the FBI and the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office, as part of an investigation into the connection between Asha’s disappearance and a local family. These warrants named the Dedmon family members—Roy Dedmon, his wife Connie Dedmon, and their three daughters: AnnaLee Dedmon Ramirez, Lizzie Dedmon Foster, and Sarah Dedmon Caple.

It was during the execution of these search warrants that investigators publicly announced for the first time that they believed Asha Degree had been murdered. Additionally, authorities suggested that the Dedmon sisters might have had a role in the suspected crime. However, the Dedmon family has consistently denied any involvement in the disappearance of Asha Degree.

In February 2025, WBTV obtained three new search warrants related to the ongoing investigation. These warrants were executed on February 13, 2025, as part of the continuing effort to uncover the truth.

A new witness has come forward, claiming to have heard a confession related to the case. At the time Asha disappeared, Lizzie Foster was 16 years old, and Sarah Dedmon Caple was 15. The witness stated that he had socialized with the Dedmon sisters at various bars and house parties in the mid-2000s. He alleged that during one particular house party, he overheard Foster confess something related to Asha’s disappearance.

On December 30, 2023, 14 year old Kaden Moses was found fatally shot in his bedroom in his home in Clinton, SC.

The autopsy report classified his death as a homicide.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) has told Kaden's mother, Erika, that the case is closed, unless "additional credible evidence is discovered" the case will remain closed.

Erika Moses spoke with Matt and Seton about the many questions he has about the investigation into her son's death.
