In this episode, I discuss the concept of being “too good of a mom” and how it creates a pattern of unhelpful kids. When we allow our kids to experience natural consequences as well as establishing expectations of what it looks like to be a “valuable” family team member, they grow up with confidence and resilience. This recipe is the best teacher of life skills for our kiddos and the bonus is that we don’t feel unappreciated, resentful or like motherhood feels like martyr-hood.
