Raghupati Sahay, better known under his pen name Firaq Gorakhpuri, was a writer, critic, and, according to one commentator, one of the most noted contemporary Urdu poets from India. He established himself among peers including Muhammad Iqbal, Yagana Changezi, Jigar Moradabadi and Josh Malihabadi.  We bring to you one of his poem in the wonderful voice of Sharique Aziz

Edgar Allan Poe (January 19, 1809 – October 7, 1849) was an American writer, poet, editor, and literary critic. Poe is best known for his poetry and short stories, particularly his tales of mystery and the macabre.  He is widely regarded as a central figure of Romanticism in the United States and of American literature as a whole, and he was one of the country's earliest practitioners of the short story.  Poe was the first well-known American writer to earn a living through writing alone, resulting in a financially difficult life and career.

Parveen Shakir was a Pakistani poet, teacher and a civil servant of the Government of Pakistan. She is best known for her poems, which brought a distinctive feminine voice to Urdu literature, and for her consistent use of the rare grammatical feminine gender for the word "lover".

Devanshi Gupta is currently pursuing English Honors from Delhi University's Hindu College. She has already got two of her novels published at a very young age and her poetry very artistically describes the details of a traditional society in which any individual has to choose his or her own path.

Bhoomi Nighat Siraj is one of the emerging faces of poetry in India and here we are, bringing one of her poem to all of you in her own voice.   

Bhoomi is currently associated with IMPAR (Indian Muslims for Progress and Reform) as well as also a part of Pierrot's Troupe, an internationally renowned theatre group based in New Delhi, India.
