On this episode, Nate and DeViney dive headlong into COVID-19, and that the coronavirus outbreak entails. Nate is somewhat confident this will digress into a worldwide pandemic, however he expresses less confidence in the preparedness of the medical-industrial infrastructure (pharmaceutical firms, et al, e.g.), while his counterpart disputes this by expressing more confidence in American pharmaceuticals than any other element of these crises.

Next, they discuss the potential economic consequences of a pandemic. There is a bit of a discussion surrounding supply side or demand side contributions to recession. Nate again asserts the weakness he sees in the supply side, while DeViney maintains that while, yes, Apple and Best Buy may have their worst two quarters on record, Duracell and Proctor Gamble may have two of their best upcoming fiscal quarters on record, and the only weakness he sees, ultimately, is the fever pitch screams of the mainstream media inciting overreaction(s).
Lastly, the team explores the politics of this matter. Is the media overblowing this? Has President Trump sounded a big enough alarm?
