It is with sadness that an episode about insurrection in DC is posted. As Nate says in episode " I am not shocked but I am surprised." Much has happened over the holiday hiatus and the team was hoping to kick of 2021 with a discussion about who holds or doesn't hold majority control. Instead of discussing the Democratic majority at length much of the discussion surrounded the insurrection and the president of the United States.

Main Segment: John and Nate take note from a recently conducted Intelligence Squared debate. The question, on their 187th episode, is "Should We Stop Worrying About National Deficits". John and Nate have danced around this conversation for a while given the economic issues that plague the US. These large macro-economic issues are controversial and Intelligence Squared debate this at length with no concrete resolution. John and Nate are no different.
