The Herle Burly was created by Air Quotes Media with support from our presenting sponsor TELUS, as well as CN Rail.
I think today’s pod is going to be an inspiring listen, for all of you. That’s because our guest today is Mohamad Fakih.
Mohamad came to Canada from Lebanon in 1999, and he’s the founder and guiding light of Paramount Fine Foods. That whole story started when he bought one near-bankrupt shawarma shop in 2006. Today that’s grown to 85 locations. And as successful as he’s been in business, Mohamad is just as devoted, just as passionate about his charitable work, philanthropy and community service through The Fakih Foundation.
Today we’re going to talk about what Mohamad describes as “kinder capitalism”, philanthropy and faith, as well as the growth of hate crimes in Canada.
