  • WOMEN IN GRIDIRON SHOW - THE PLAYBOOK - INSIDE ZONE CONCEPT, LEAD BLOCKING MVPS.

This week we start with the “Warm-Up” by a game of Would You Rather? Our panelists give their choice on which offense they would rather run.

In the episode of this week’s dose of the “Playbook” we discuss the Inside Zone Concept. Our panelists give us the benefits and the weaknesses of this concept and give their views about how important it is to understand this concept. They discuss its ideal personnel use in Australia.

We discuss the history of the Inside Zone Concept and how it can be traced back to the 50’s and 60’s, but was not documented until the 70’s, this was when Vince Lombardi was a coach at Green Bay and used the Inside Zone Concept to run their Power Sweep Play. It was known as Doodad Blocking Back, during those times and it got pretty famous because of them.

Ending the week’s show on “Rapid Fire”, we talk give our choices about who would we want lead blocking for us on the run.

In, ‘The Breakdown’ the panel discuss the talented group that is the Sharks especially how strong they are in the back line particularly on the left with the likes of Talei Holmes and Maddie Studdon.

The West Coast Tigers are probably looking for a bit of rain to slow the Sharks wings down. However, with the help of Bo Vette-Welsh behind the scenes during the season combined with players such as Losana Lutu the X-factor and the dynamite Emily Curtain, will they be able to take the cup?

Finally, in ‘Rapid Fire discuss who may get player of the match in this Grand Final of the Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership between the West Tigers and the Cronulla Sharks.

  • NFL SHOW - EAGLES, STEELERS, AND WHICH ROOKIE COACH WILL GET THE MOST WINS

On this week’s show in ‘The Huddle’ we take a look at both the hype around the Philadelphia Eagles & Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Eagles are ready to improve their 9-8 record from last season and the schedule is on their favour despite having to face 4 playoff teams from 2021 season.
The Eagles entered the draft by starting with two first-round picks in order to acquire two of the most talented players such as A.J Brown from the Tennessee Titans the former New York Giants cornerback James Bradberry. All the credit goes to Howie Roseman that was able to achieve the most they could with their draft capital. The flying Eagles also recently added to their squad two free agent players: Hasson Reddick and Kyzir White.

It's a different story for the Steelers with their transition from Ben Roethlisverg. Much more challenging schedule for the Pittsburgh team that have to get through a competitive AFC North division including the current champions Cincinnati Bengals.

And to finish out the show we turn to ‘Rapid Fire’ where we discuss our preseason thoughts. For this week, Who will be the Rookie Head Coach to win the most games?

  • THE NRL SHOW- ROUND 18 PREVIEW, COWBOYS VS SHARKS, ROOSTERS VS DRAGONS PLUS REMAINING GAMES

Another huge episode this week as we celebrate our 12 month anniversary as a Network! Thank-you to all of our listeners that have supported us over the last year.

This week in ‘the Breakdown’ we preview all things Round 18 including the Friday night clash between the North QLD Cowboys and Cronulla Sharks. The Sharks have held their position in the top four for most of the season with some impressive performances under their rookie head coach Craig Fitzgibbon. Despite some up and down form over the past month, the Sharks have hit back off the back of some impressive moments from their recently re-signed half in Matt Moylan.  While for the Cowboys they continue to impress after an understrength side put  the Broncos to the sword before their Bye week. Who wins this top four clash?

We also feature the Sydney Roosters as they take on the St George Illawarra Dragons. Both teams find themselves hanging on to their top 8 ambitions despite an up and down year. For the Dragons they currently sit in 9th position and will be desperate to get the win here. Dynamic centres Zac Lomax and Moses Suli will be looking to break the game open for the Red V. While for the Roosters they will be playing for the season as they currently sit in 10th position and are losing touch with the top 8. As the pressure mounts around the club, they will be looking to their forwards to the middle and give their talented outside backs greater opportunities. Which team wins, and will either side play finals football this year?

And to round out the show in ‘Rapid Fire’ we offer our picks for the remaining games and reveal our underdog tip of the week

  • THE NRL SHOW- STATE OF ORIGIN GAME 3 PREVIEW

Firstly a shoutout to our Mojo Community, with the Network turning one this week! And to make our celebrations even better it's gameday for our Origin Decider between the NSW Blues and the QLD Maroons. With Munster and Tualagi ruled out due to COVID, can QLD find a way to produce yet another origin miracle?

The Blues will be heading into the decider confident after a dominant performance in Game 2. Despite the loss of Payne Haas, the Blues have kept the majority of their squad together including their incredible group from the Penrith Panthers. With Nathan Cleary, Stephen Crichton, Jarome Luai, Liam Martin, Api Koroisau & Isaah Yeo in the starting side, the chemistry within the group appears unbeatable.

For the Maroons, they found a way to ambush the Blues in Game 1 but without their key man as well as the loss of Reuben Cotter earlier in the season, this may prove to be QLD's greatest test. However with in front of a packed out Suncorp Stadium with Billy Slater, Cam Smith and Johnathan Thurston in the coaches box, anything is possible.

And to round out the show in 'Rapid Fire' we offer our player of series predictions. Which player will stand above the rest at the end of the Game 3?

  • WOMEN IN LEAGUE SHOW- SPECIAL GUEST HOLLI WHEELER, SHARKS V MOUNTIES, PLUS TIGERS VS BEARS

This week on the Women in League show Holli Wheeler of the Cronulla Sharks join’s the panel as they cover the Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership Semi-Final matchup between the Saint Mary’s Mounties and the Cronulla Sharks.

In, ‘The Breakdown’ the panel discuss the Mounties and how they are a historically strong club who produce some tough match ups with the likes of Gayle Broughton leading the way. The strength and skill of the Mounties forward pack will be difficult for the Sharks to overcome.

The Sharks have not been able to make it over the hump of the Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership before. With the talent of young players such as Andie Robinson and Teagan Berry combined with the experience of the Sharks forward pack, will they be able to go all the way?

Finally, in ‘Rapid Fire we cover the other Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership game between the West Tigers and the North Sydney Bears. The result of this match means a place in the finals. Neither team will be willing to give in easily, this will be a great game to watch.

  • THE NFL SHOW - LA CHARGERS & NEW ORLEANS SAINTS, PLUS LEADING OFFENSIVE TACKLE PREDICTIONS

On this week’s show in ‘The Huddle’ we take a look at both the hype around the Los Angeles Chargers and the return of New Orleans Saints' studs.

The Chargers have positioned themselves as title contenders heading into the 2022 season. With a stud at QB in Justin Herbert who many are predicting will lead the league in TDs and passing yards. With the offense now rounded out and Joey Bosa leading an intimidating defence, there's definitely a case to be made for Bolts.

It's a different story for the Saints with a lot of questions left to be answered. Much of their season balances on the shoulders of QB Jameis Winston and WR Michael Thomas's health. The Saints are also beginning the 2022 campaign with a new head coach in Dennis Allen.

And to finish out the show we turn to ‘Rapid Fire’ where we discuss our preseason thoughts. For this week, who will be the league's leading left or right tackle?

  • THE NRL SHOW - SHARKS VS STORM, BRONCOS VS DRAGONS, UNDERDOG TIP OF THE WEEK

This week is NAIDOC week, and we open the show with our acknowledgement of country and a look at the best Indigenous player in the game today.

This week on ‘the Breakdown’ we start by looking at the game between the Sharks and the Storm. Both teams have been strong this season and look set for a top 8 finish, but who will come out on top as we head towards the back end of the season. We compare Cam McInnes and Brandon Smith in our player matchup for this game and give our opinion on who is going to make an impact for their team

Then we take a look at the game between the Broncos and the Dragons. Another close matchup between teams that aren't separated by much on the ladder. Sitting in the bottom half of the top 8, neither will want to give up any points and will look to add some momentum to their campaigns. In our player matchup we look at Billy Walters and Andrew McCullough to see who will be the difference maker in this vital game.

And to round out the show in ‘Rapid Fire’ we offer our picks for the remaining games and reveal our underdog tip of the week
