  • THE NFL SHOW - MIAMI DOLPHINS, MOORE V BIENIEMY, PLUS NO1 SAFETY

To kick things off in this week’s show, Alex asks the team who would they pick if they could invite 3 current or former NFL players to their dinner party.

This week in “The Huddle” we take a look at the Miami Dolphins who have been one of the busiest teams in the NFL offseason. After the Dolphins finished off their 2021 season 8-9 big changes have came to South Beach. The Dolphins are looking to see if Tua is their franchise QB so they have surrounded him with a lot of talent. This starts with trading for Superstar WR Tyreek Hill to lineup along side young gun Jaylen Waddle. They have upgraded their offensive line by signing stars Terron Armstead and Connor Williams to protect Tua and their new RB room which consists of new signings Chase Edmonds, Raheem Mostert and Sony Michel. The Dolphins are stacked personnel wise but it is up to Tua and rookie head coach Mike McDaniels to bring this group back to the playoffs. The only question is can they do it in the stacked AFC?

Two of the brightest offensive minds in the NFL go head to head when the group take a look at Kellen Moore vs Eric Bieniemy in “The Match”. Both Moore and Bieniemy are offensive coordinators but both are looking likely to move in to a Head Coaching role in the next two seasons. Kellen Moore is the Offensive Coordinator of the Dallas Cowboys who had one of the best offences in 2021. They were ranked top 10 in almost every offensive category and Kellen Moore had a big part in that. Eric Bieniemy has been the Offensive Coordinator of the Kansas City Chiefs since 2018. Bieniemy has had the luxury of being able to utilise players such as Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce but now that Hill has left the Chiefs, a new challenge has been given to Bieniemy and the Chiefs to continue to be one of the best offences in the NFL. Who will have the better offence in 2022?

In “Rapid Fire” the team looks at the best Safeties in the NFL. There are many great safeties in the NFL and with a busy offseason almost finished, who do you think the best safety in the NFL?

  • THE NRL SHOW- STATE OF ORIGIN GAME 2 PREVIEW

This week on ‘the Breakdown’ we dive into State of Origin Game 2. In this preview, we take a closer look at both squads including the QLD Maroons who currently lead the series after their 6 point victory in Game 1

For the Maroons they have mostly kept the same group together with Taulagi and Arrow coming in after injuries to Coates and Cotter. Can Cam Munster produce another all time performance and help guide his state to a series win?

For NSW they have their backs against the wall. Coming into the series without Tom Trbojevic and Latrell Mitchell and after losing the opener, the Blues are under pressure to keep the series alive in Perth. With Matt Burton, Api Korisau, Jake Trbojevic, Angus Crichton and Siosifa Talakai being rushed into the side, will that be enough for the Blues to level the series?

And to round out the show in 'Rapid Fire' we reflect on some of the stars that were unlucky to miss selections. Which players should have been picked for Game 2?

  • THE NFL SHOW - BALTIMORE RAVENS, DABOLL V HACKETT, PLUS NO1 TIGHT END

On this week’s show in ‘The Huddle’ we take a look at the Baltimore Ravens who find themselves in an interesting situation as they head into next season. Star quarterback Lamar Jackson remains one of the last QB's to be offered a new contract from QB draft class and is continuing to represent himself in negotiations. As a non traditional pocket passer, plenty of questions are being asked as to the value of Lamar compared with some of the blockbuster contracts we have seen offered recently to Deshaun Watson, Aaron Rodgers,  Josh Allen and more. Will Lamar secure his future prior to the start of the season?

This week in ‘The Match’ we have a look at two first time head coaches in Brian Daboll and Nathaniel Hackett. Daboll faces an uphill battle as he attempts to resurrect the New York Giants offence. Despite his offensive prowess, can Daboll find a way to unlock Daniel Jones or will he be looking for a new QB? While for Hackett, he has won the NFL coaching lottery walking into his first role with a superstar QB under centre in Russell Wilson. With Super Bowl expectations facing the Broncos, can Hackett deliver as a rookie coach?

And to round out the show in ‘Rapid Fire’ we go around the NFL and review some of the best players in the league. This week we take a look at the best Tight Ends in the NFL. While Kelce and Kittle have led the way for several years, are there any other Tight Ends that can make a run for the number one spot this season?

Both teams find themselves near the top of the ladder and look set for the top 8. The Broncos have been on a hot streak of form the last few weeks but injuries may put an end to that this week. The Storm will be looking to return to their early season form which saw them cutting through the competition with ease.

We also feature the game between the Eels and the Roosters. The Eels will be fighting to forget last weeks game where they were thoroughly beaten, and the Roosters will be trying to push higher into the top 8 despite facing their own problems.

  • THE NRL SHOW- JAKE FRIEND, RTS VS VATUVEI, PLUS GOLD COAST TITANS

On this week’s edition of ‘All Ball’ we reflect on the incredible career of Sydney Roosters legend Jake Friend. We discuss his rocky start to his career with the Roosters, before his incredible development as a player and leader. Friend a three time premiership winner is regarded as one of the best modern day dummy halves and was unfortunate to not play more representative football. Trent Robinson evolved his offence most years and Jake's ability to adapt and help guide his team around the park was a weekly occurrence. It was a shame that his career ended prematurely but he was incredibly successful and build and unforgettable legacy at the Bondi club.

In ‘the Match’ we pair up two club legends from the New Zealand Warriors- Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Manu Vatuvei. RTS had an impressive start to his career for the Sydney Roosters before moving home to the Warriors and establishing himself as one of the games best players. Dominating at fullback, RTS also showed incredible leadership moving into a captaincy role and helping to guide the Warriors through some challenging times. Despite his defection to rugby union, he still remains one of the clubs best ever players. While for Vatuvei, he inspired a generation of young kiwi players to strive to play rugby league and put fear in the opposition. Manu now finds himself in a challenging situation post career but will be remembered as a fierce rugby league player.

And to round out the show in 'Rapid Fire',  we focus in on the Gold Coast Titans, as we ask the hard hitting questions including the improvements and repairs they need to make to turn their season around. Where to now for the Titans?
