  • WOMEN IN GRIDIRON SHOW- WNFC UPDATE, THE PLAYBOOK - COUNTER CONCEPT, GA MEMBER SURVEY

In the “Warm-Up” we review our predictions from last week for the WNFC matches. First we look back on the Texas Elite Spartans and the Kansas City Glory game. Next we look at the Utah match against the Denver Bandits. We also give an update on GA nationals.

In the “Playbook” we discuss the Counter Trap Concept. This advanced play is an old school gap scheme which gives you a man advantage during attacks, and how pivotal it is to the women’s game. It is a slow burning play which is a favourite of many O-lines. We also discuss the variations of the play that can be used and how it is an important to have in the playbook because of its versatility.

Ending the week’s show on “Rapid Fire”, we talk about the GA members survey. We give our perspective about the survey and how it can be used to improve and develop the sport for women. Send through us your ideas about steps that can be taken to improve the Women’s Gridiron game.

  • NBA SHOW - JOSH GIDDEY, KLAY THOMPSON V TYLER HERRO & MIAMI HEAT

A very special episode this week as we welcome our new panellist- Hannah Griffin to the show. Hannah has been involved in basketball from an early age and loves her NBA!

In ‘All Ball’ this week we discuss a home grown star in Josh Giddey. Josh is a proud Australian that developed his game through the Adelaide 36ers and NBL pathways. While many NBA players progress from college into the league, Josh has shown once again to the world the amount of Australian talent that can compete and star at the highest levels.

Giddey was drafted 6th in the 2021 NBA draft by the Oklahoma City Thunder. Giddey has impressed from the moment he stepped onto the court, becoming the youngest ever player to record a triple-double. Giddey finished his season with a minor hip injury but not before finishing the season averaging 12.5 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 7.6 assists per game with four triple-doubles. The Thunder still find themselves in a rebuild but have certainly unearthed a star. At only 19 years of age, is Giddey already one of the best Australian players ?

In ‘the Match’ we offer a different perspectives comparing Klay Thompson's Game 6 performances and Tyler Herro's performance in the NBA Bubble during the Covid lockdown. Klay has produced some all time moments in Game 6 playoff games, making him one of the most dangerous shooters in NBA history. While for Tyler, his performance in the 2020 NBA playoffs helped guide the Miami Heat to the NBA Finals. Which player's performance was most impressive?

And to round out the show in 'Rapid Fire', we highlight the Miami Heat and reflect on the ups and downs of their season. Jimmy Butler continues to establish himself as one of the best players in the NBA, however his inconsistency in the finals did prove costly.  Can the Heat take that next step and compete for a championship next season?

'

Georgia and her team mate and Mojo panelist Mon, also dive into the Newcastle Knights roster as they highlight some emerging and current stars within the club. • THE NFL SHOW- CLEVELAND BROWNS, VON MILLER VS KHALIL MACK, PLUS NO1 PASS RUSHER

This week we warm up with Dan asking the team, if you could pick one head coach in the NFL to become the President of the United States, who would it be.

On this week’s show in ‘The Huddle’ we take a look at the Cleveland Browns who have been one of the most controversial and active teams in the offseason. Their 8-9 record in 2021 was disappointing after they were expected to take a step forward after their 2020 campaign which saw them make the playoffs for the first time since 2002. The Browns have made some big moves in the offseason as they released star WR Jarvis Landry, and they traded for another star WR in Amari Cooper. They have also taken a big risk but it may turn out to be a big splash when they traded for Superstar QB Deshaun Watson. Watson comes with a potential to be the best QB in the NFL, but he missed the entire 2021 campaign due to unresolved legal off field issues which are still yet to be resolved. Although they have upgraded at QB and WR, the big question for the Browns is did they make a mistake by trading for Deshaun Watson?

This week in ‘The Match’ we have a look at two of the best Pass Rushers over the past ten years, Khalil Mack and Von Miller. Von Miller is a two-time Super Bowl champion, 8-time Pro Bowler, 7 time All Pro and Superbowl 50 MVP, while Khalil Mack was the 2016 Defensive Player of the Year, 6-time Pro Bowler and 4 time All Pro. Both Khalil Mack and Von Miller are on the move for the 2022 season but with such impressive accolades, who is the better player, and who has had the better career?

To round the show in ‘Rapid Fire’ we go around the NFL and review some of the best players in the league. This week we take a look at the best Pass Rushers in the NFL. With many Pass Rushers in the NFL, who is the best Pass Rusher in the NFL?

  • THE NRL SHOW - ROUND 14 PREVIEW, COWBOYS VS DRAGONS, ROOSTERS VS STORM AND RAPID FIRE

Huge episode this week as we welcome our new panelist Micki Foster! As a Sydney Roosters fan, Micki joins the crew to chat all things NRL each and every week.

This week in ‘the Breakdown’ we preview all things Round 14 including the Friday night clash between the North QLD Cowboys and St George Illawarra Dragons. The Dragons have been up and down in 2022, with veteran players and junior stars struggling at times. Despite these challenges, the Dragons find themselves knocking on the door of the Top 8 as they continue to fight their way up the ladder. While for the Cowboys they continue to impress after putting the sword to the Titans last week without their origin stars. Who wins this one?

We also feature the Sydney Roosters as they take on the Melbourne Storm. These two clubs have been competition heavy weights for many years, however the Roosters have struggled in recent times with pressure slowly mounting on halves pairing Luke Keary and Sam Walker. With both teams battling injuries throughout the year, the middle forwards in this clash will most likely decide the result. Can the Roosters forwards lift and cause an upset in this one?

And to round out the show in ‘Rapid Fire’ we offer our picks for the remaining games and reveal our underdog tip of the week

Despite the end of their most dominant era, some fresh faces have been added to the team alongside their new head coach and legend Billy Slater. From Selwyn Cobbo to Reuben Cotter, QLD's debutants will be keen to put on a show on the road against their arch rivals.

While for the Blues it has been interesting preparation for this year's series with some interesting selections made by Freddy Fittler. After axing Jake Trbojevic, Angus Crichton and Josh Addo Carr, the Blues will need to impress. Led by a host of Penrith Panthers stars including Cleary, Luai, Yeo, To'o and Crichton, can these boys continue their dominant performances on the biggest stage. Who wins the opening game?

  • NBA SHOW - JORDAN POOLE, EMBIID V JOKIC & CHICAGO BULLS

On this weeks episode in ‘All Ball’ we discuss Jordan Poole, the 28th pick in the 2019 draft for the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors have been renowned for drafting and developing stars and have once again found another diamond in the rough.

With the Warriors facing a significant rebuild and back to back injuries for superstar Klay Thompson, Poole was given his opportunity in the NBA and has slowly developed his game under the mentorship of Steve Kerr. Fast forward to 2022 playoffs, and after an injury to Steph Curry, Poole was given a starting role as the team eased Curry back into the action.  From the G League to starting in the playoffs ahead of the greatest shooter of all time, it has been quite the rise for the young star.

In ‘the Match’ we feature two of the heavyweights in the NBA, with the Philadelphia 79ers superstar- Joel Embiid facing Denver Nuggets and back to back Regular Season MVP- Nikola Jokic. With both plays still only 28 and 27 years of age, this rivalry will remain of the key matchups for years to come. Which big man is the best in the league?

And to round out the show in 'Rapid Fire', we highlight the Chicago Bulls and recap their remarkable rebuild. MJ's Bulls became a global brand during the 80's and 90's but have struggled to compete for championships since his departure. With a recent roster overhaul, the Bulls looked impressive with Demar Derozan leading the way. Can the Bulls compete for a championship next season?
