Our State Representative John Lively joinst the podcast to discues the areas the State Legislature covered in the Special Session called by Governor Kate Brown. They addressed several areas of significant need such as: Covid Relief, Wild Fire Relief, Small Business Relief specifically for resturants and bars, Insurance Relief for the School Districts, Tenant/Landlord Relief and the $800 million approved for the Emergency Board to distribute to these specified areas. State Representative Lively gives a detailed accounting of the process. 

Vonnie joined the podcast today to discuss the leadership challenges she confronted as the CEO of Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce. She shared her strategies, outlook, communication processes to speak with the employees of the Chamber, the Chamber board of directors and Chamber membership. She focused on 3 areas: Availability, Accessablility and Knowledge. Leading our business community through a global pandemic, social unrest, a near, total economic collapse, and keepin herself mindful of the work at hand, is her call to "being" not just "leading." 

Tara is the Development Director for CSS. The organization helps construct Canestoga Huts for those in need a temporary housing. They are constructing Safe Spot Communities and Micro Site communities to help the unhoused tranisition to more permanent living situation. Their huts are now being sold as kits to other parts of the US and the World as are the community layouts. 

Patty joined the podcast today to share more of his life story. He is a professional barber and an accomplished musician as well as the Creator of Spent The Rent Podcast. He shared the history behind this desire to communicate in talk radio with others. He also shared much of his life story that was pivotal in his perspective towards how he lives his life in wanting to be a doer and supporter of others.

Chris and Patty join the podcast to discuss their concerns with the implications should Measure 110 be passed on the ballot in November. Measure 110 legalizes possession of what was once criminal amounts of opiates and other drugs.

Sean is the Ward 1, City Councilor for Springfield, OR. He was helping to spearhead the Fire Levy necessary to continue the required funding for Fire Operations for Springfield. Fire Chief Chris Heppel participated in the podcast to share his expertise for the voters.

Johanis joined the podcast to share his perspective, opinions and hopes if he should win the run off election for the Ward 3, City Council Race in Springfield, OR. He is a community organizer hoping to translate his community service to a successful campaign victory.
