This week on MMAP, we're starting part 1 of who knows how many parts there will be to the Caylee/Casey Anthony Case series. At this point? Your guess is as good as mine. But, this is a super short episode, basically just going over how Casey's parents met and some small parts of Casey's early life and up until the point that Caylee was born. I didn't want to dive any deeper into things that were later able to be used as evidence because that could have taken hours alone. So join me next week for part 2? Same time? Same place? See ya then!

This week I needed a mental break and I told y'all last week that I would find something easy and fun to do this week, after Megan the baby killer's episode last week. So, I decided to look into some of the strangest, weirdest, most random, and out dated laws that are somehow still written down in the law books and somehow still exist. You'll be amazed at the different things that are illegal in some places. Y'all start keeping your bearded dragons off the church pews and FYI? Don't tie your pet giraffe or alligator to a telephone pole or a fire hydrant. Be safe out there people!

This week we jumped into one of the craziest cases I've ever heard in my entire life. Megan Huntsman was a normal mom of two along with a wife, when she started hiding pregnancy's from everyone in her life, including her husband. She would birth the babies at home, murder them, and then store them in a cardboard box in the garage of their family home. It was right at a decade before all of her lifeless infants were discovered. There were at least 7 infants that Megan killed, and that's only 7 that we know of. Buckle up for this episode, because it's so wild. It's one of those cases that you would think is an urban legend until you realize that it's all true.

This week we took a look into the missing persons case of Brian Shaffer. A man who walked into a bar but never walked out. He was seen on CCTV footage entering the bar but you never seen him leave, and even facial recognition software never caught Brian leaving the bar. There are a hundred theories in this case, about what happened and where Brian may be now, and I tried to tell you about most of the more logical ones. Also, you can hear the birds that built a nest outside of my She Shed Recording Studio in the background, so just enjoy the outdoorsy, nature feel of this audio!

This week I did something a little different. I started thinking about my youngest sister and how she used to tell us all that someone else in our family used to be her mom, and how someone else that she knew was her sister and all of these crazy things. (Shout out to you, Kayla!)  And, it got me thinking about kids who remember their past lives or kids who seem to be a reincarnation type of deal. And, I remembered a case that blew my mind years ago, well before I had my own True Crime Podcast, and that was the case of James Leininger. I think y'all are really going to get a kick out of this episode. And, besides that? I have absolutely zero free time this week to do a deep dive on a major true crime case. So, I promise I'll get back to our regularly scheduled episodes next week! Happy Hump Day, Y'all!

Hannah Upp was a teacher, a daughter, a friend, a girlfriend, and a gypsy soul of sorts. She loved to travel and explore new places, but when Hannah went missing for 20 days and returned alive and relatively unharmed? She didn't remember a single thing about the last 20 days that had passed. Hannah would eventually go missing a total of 3 different times, and this was due to a condition that she was diagnosed with called "Dissociative Fugue" also sometimes referred to as the "Jason Bourne" condition, based off of the movies. Hannah would go into these Dissociative Fugue states of consciousness, where she didn't remember anything about her life; not her name, her address, or even her age. Both of the first two times that Hannah had gone missing, she was awakened from this Dissociative Fugue state and life would return back to normal, for the most part. But, the third and final time that Hannah entered a Dissociative Fugue state? She's never been seen again.

With Easter being this past Sunday I figured there was no time like this week to cover James Supper, who committed the mass murder of 11 people. All 11 people that James killed were members of his family. James waited until everyone was gathering at his mom's house to celebrate Easter and to eat Sunday, Easter dinner before killing everyone in the house. This week is yet again another hard episode, and I'm starting to feel like a broken record saying that every week, but it's true.

HAPPY 30TH EPISODE TO US!! I absolutely COULD NOT do this podcast with the support from all of y'all! This week's case is back to a normal, typical, and expected case. Yes, that means another super hard case. This week we're looking into the senseless, unnecessary, brutal, and totally pointless murder of 13 year old Tristyn Bailey. Tristyn was stabbed 114 times by a classmate and neighbor; 14 year old, Aiden Fucci. There was no motive to this murder, there was no reason, there was only evil. Aiden had talked to friends about how he wanted to kill someone just to see what it felt like. Basically he wanted to kill someone just to do it.
