This week's focus has been on health and well-being. It is Day 15 in our Season of Affirmations. and today's affirmation is "My ability to forgive others frees me to lead a more fulfilling life ."
When someone wrongs you and you hold on to negative feelings in your hart, guess whose life is being damaged? Your own!
Psychology experts say that holding grudges can significantly impact your mental and physical health. It’s like that often quoted statement that says, being reluctant to forgive someone is like "drinking poison and expecting the other person to get sick or die."
As difficult as it may be, it’s really important to choose forgiveness before the hurt you feel turns to bitterness and resentment. Even when you would be justified in getting even, the better path is to choose love over vindication. As former First Lady, Michelle Obama ,once famously said, “When they go low, we go high.”
If we care enough about others, we can, with practice, learn to overlook unintentional hurts and abrasive responses, from family, friends and strangers. Instead we can learn to be empathetic, and to treat others the way we want to be treated.
For today’s journal entry…
What a liberating experience that will be for you

This week's focus is health and well-being. It is Day 14 in our Season of Affirmations. and today's affirmation is "I Forgive Myself For All Past Mistakes."
Whether you believe it or not, forgiveness can play an important role in your mental and physical health. Think about the guilt and shame you feel when you know that you've done something that is out of character. Those feelings can lead to anxiety and depression, and some psychology experts even say you can risk increasing your blood pressure and your cholesterol levels. The key to controlling these negative outcomes is to start practicing self-forgiveness. Check out the episode titled "3 Ways To Start Forgiving Yourself And Improve Your Health" to get some strategies.
Just remember that even though we are all imperfect people, being imperfect does not make us any less amazing!

It is Day 13 in our Season of Affirmations. This week's focus is health and well-being, and today's affirmation is "I am able to direct my thoughts and manage my emotions."
An important aspect of our mental wellness is being able to control what we think about. Just knowing that you have the ability to control what you're thinking about at any moment, to choose whom or what to focus your attention on, is the greatest power you can have. When you learn to direct your thoughts and keep them focused on what is positive and what allows you to take effective action, you can become the master of your destiny!

It is Day 11 in our Season of Affirmations. This week's focus is health and well-being, and today's affirmation is "I allow myself to have excellent health by developing a healthy mindset." It's not easy to lead a healthy lifestyle with all the stresses of modern life, but if you develop a healthy mindset, you can start living a healthier life. Think about it, "How would your health change for the better if you made it more of a priority? Would you have more energy to do the things you want to do? Would your trips to the doctor decrease? Would your view of your body image improve?

What unhealthy habits would you have to change to make today's affirmation true for you? It is Day 11 in our Season of Affirmations. This week's focus is health and well-being ,and today's affirmation is "I am grateful that my body is healthy, whole and strong."
One of the ways in which the CDC defines well-being is, "the presence of positive emotions and the absence of negative emotions." To achieve that balance would then require a lifestyle that supports not only your physical well-being but your emotional well-being. Think about it, how would your life change for the better if you made living a healthier lifestyle your priority?

Imagine if you were to adopt a mindset that everything you need to master in your life is within you! It is Day 10 in our Season of Affirmations and today's affirmation is "I have everything I need within me."
Imagine if you could come to the understanding that limited thinking has no place in your life because when you reflect on how far you've come, you recognize that you are capable of finding solutions to any challenge you may encounter. Think about how fearless and worry-free you would feel with that knowledge.

Living your life to the fullest is not an observer sport. You have to be intentional about being a participant. It is Day 9 in our Season of Affirmations and today's affirmation is "I am living my life to the fullest, and taking action on a daily basis."
Living your life to the fullest is not something that happens accidentally. It's something you have to do with intention. Each decision we make shapes our future, so we have the responsibility to make decisions each day that will allow us to live our best lives, and not just as an expression, but as a reality.

Your success requires your belief in yourself and your abilities. It's Day 8 in our Season of Affirmations and today's affirmation is "I am highly successful because I believe in myself and my abilities."
Belief in yourself speaks to the level of self-confidence you have, which helps determine whether or not you'll be able to achieve the goals you set for yourself. Thoughts of self-doubt will cause you to constantly question your capabilities, and you will allow failure to define you. To avoid this, you need to practice some daily self-love and give yourself some grace to not be perfect.

Your mindset can help determine whether you make changes that have a positive impact on your life. It's Day 7 in our Season of Affirmations and today's affirmation is "I make incremental, positive changes each day that make a difference in my life."
This is such an important affirmation when we talk about mindset if you follow the theory of Carol Dweck an American psychologist. A very simplified version of that theory states that individuals who have a growth mindset believe that they can succeed at whatever they’re working on through their efforts and persistence and through learning from their mistakes.
Do you have a growth mindset?

"I have the power and ability to create any reality of my choosing." This is the affirmation for Day 6 in our Season of Affirmations. I think it was Maya Angelou who said in an interview with Oprah that we teach people how to treat us. If people perceive us as losers, they treat us as such, and if they perceive us as winners, they treat us with the respect they believe winners deserve. How do people treat you?
