Corey Spiegel is a mom of 2 teenagers and the founder of Light House, a community for like-minded women of all ages (even teens) to have real conversations on real topics with real people about real life. Through their many classes, Corey has created a safe space for women to be themselves, be supported and be heard in a confidential, judgement-free environment.
After spending over 25 years as a senior executive working in the entertainment space, she always wondered why there wasn't a mommy and me type of group for those in the later stages of life? At work she was always reporting to several Board of Directors and then it clicked, why couldn't she have her own Board of Directors for her personal life? And after 25+ years she left the corporate world to launch Light House and help support other women find their personal board of directors.
In this episode we talk all about her journey and inspiration behind Light House, why having a personal Board of Directors is important, being a mom of teenagers, and how she prioritizes self-care (especially movement, clean eating and sleep) in her life after losing 82 pounds, plus her favorite skin care products.
One of my favorite quotes from the episode: "You're not meant to do life alone and you don't have to."

Lauren Gregor is the Founder and CEO of Rent-a-Romper, a baby and toddler subscription rental clothing company that offers affordable children's clothes for rent that are both cute and functional, without adding to our increased landfill waste as a society.
As a mom of two boys ages 5 and 7, Lauren grew increasingly frustrated with the build up of boxes and waste in her house, specifically around clothing. She decided to take action and not only solve her problem, but do so in an eco-friendly and sustainably conscious way.
Lauren launched Rent-a-Romper literally at the beginning of COVID when everyone was headed into lockdown while simultaneously working full-time for a charter school and facilitating distance learning for her two boys.
In this episode we go into the details on how she took her idea from a business card to a real business overnight without any background in subscription e-commerce, lessons she's learned in the first year, the team she surrounds herself with, and how she structures her day, while still working full-time.

She's the creator of the media platform Whitney E. RD, where she serves up the scoop on food and fitness trends, and co-creator of Plant-Based Juniors, an online destination for all parents looking to get more plants on the plate.
Whitney earned her master's degree in Nutrition, Healthspan, and Longevity and completed her dietetic internship at the University of Southern California's Norris Cancer Center and Keck Medical Center as well as BreatheHealing Life Center. Her experience working in cancer research fueled her curiosity for using food and fitness to promote lasting health and helped shape her Predominantly Plant-Based philosophy.

In this episode, Whitney debunks some of the top myths surrounding plant-based eating using her evidence-based research while sharing strategies on how to get your babies, toddlers and kids to eat a predominantly plant-based diet. She also talks about plant-based nutrition during pregnancy and shared insight into the 3-day water fast she completed (pre-pregnancy and breastfeeding) to help with cell regeneration (aka autophagy) and longevity.
Even if you're an omnivore (or recovering paleo eater) like myself, her tips helped inspire me to find ways to get more veggies into my kids meals and have piqued my interest in the studies behind fasting and longevity.
So whether or not you are plant-based curious or wondering how to get your kids to eat more greens, listen in!
