Saturday February 19th was “Mom’s No Expert” first ever live event. I had art therapist Pierra D. Brown -IG- and we both discussed The Huntington’s newest rendition of Toni Morrison “The Bluest Eye”. Doing this live event was such an amazing experience. I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to pick a therapist's brain about these Play/Book main topics. The Bluest Eye is a book that it’s beyond years. Happy Valentine's day!!! Wellll Happy Birthday Dani. Yes, it is double the celebration and this episode I dedicate it to my BEAUTIFUL child. When people think that slandering your other parent gets you anywhere, well you are wrong. Divorce is not easy by any means but it becomes harder when we slander each other. This week I speak on the recent back and forth from Kim and Kanye and how this is not affecting them one bit but it is 100% affecting the children. They are innocent and they should not be having more havoc caused by their parents.

We always expect our kids to understand us and see that we love them but are we showing them in a way they understand? Last week we talked about boundaries and this week we’re talking about love languages. We are loving our children the way they want to be loved and expecting the same in return. Yes, your children have their own love language and the sooner we know and recognize it the sooner we can love them the way they deserve and want.

Is a new year and we are starting the year right. We will set boundaries specially for our children. They know who they want or not want to be around. Because of that we need to set boundaries for them and respect those. Like I always say their feelings are valid and should be respected and acknowledge.
