System availability not uptime is critical for patient care. Cyberattacks have a significant negative impact on availability. No single security solution will prevent attacks, so a layered approach is needed. One tool that is overlooked is packet monitoring which can be used to detect attacks early, find infrastructure vulnerabilities, and improve availability.
