Kira Knebel joins me to talk about some of the back story behind her 2025 MotoAmerica Championship with the BTR Class. Her simple desire to ride on the street turned into a calculated passion for learning on the racetrack. She eventually made it to MotoAmerica with Royal Enfield: Build Train Race program.

When I was a kid, I idolized Smokey the Bear. A large brown bear with a marketing purpose. The United States Parks service used the image of the brown bear to educate the public on wildfire prevention. Each 4th of July, I'd see Smokey (probably a dude in a suit) walking and waving to kids, accompanied by two wheeled machines, fire engines, and police vehicles. I came from a very small town, so this was exciting to me at the time.

Now I find myself at a point in my life where I can walk in my own parade and I choose yet again to continue documenting stories as told by the moto community. I'm telling more of my story today, hoping that those who see and listen will be inspired... or at least entertained!

Season 3 will have more of the same stuff - talking story with motorcycle people who do rad s**t!

Supermoto Championship Round 2 2026

The Supermoto Championship Round 2 of the 2026 race season took place at Kern Raceway on March 28th, 2026. The weather was perfect, high 70s and mid-low 80s. We raced at night alongside monster trucks. The supermoto event was put on by BP Promotions.

I interviewed 6 racers plus myself: John Lyles, Matt Eldridge, Ezra Beaubier, Cassidy Haas, Mark Jardiolin, and Noel Garcia.

Golden State Championship round 2 took place at Apex Motorsports Park in Perris CA on March 14 and 15.  This series aims to support racers by providing pro-level experiences around the state. This round saw similar attendance to round 1 with over 100 entries and racers from north, central and southern California. 

Hawk Mazzotta joins in lieu of John Hopkins (taking care of some business) to talk about round 2 and give us a bit more background as to how Golden State Championship came about.

Mark and I had one hectic week. Between business ownership and day jobs, plus our plumbing needed a major repair we didn't feel ready to race at Golden State Championship. Racing was part of the weekend plan, so I looked elsewhere for the challenge we were hoping for and signed up for SRA GP at Glen Helen Raceway.

Big hill surprises, baby bird omelets, and finding our limits were some of the great highlights of the weekend. Tune in and find out how mailboxes on snowy hills can relate.

CVMA Round 5 took place Feb 13-15 and was quite the chaotic event. Several major crashes and collisions led to several injuries and thankfully no fatalities.

I am joined by 5 racers this round. Aiden Hancock, Leonard Guidry, Tiffanie Vo, Bobby Loo, and Neiko Alexander. We talk about the weekend and discuss challenges from this season: bike builds, mental hurdles, jumping out of the comfort zone, chasing lap times, and more!
