Spring is almost here and y'all know what that means! Hades and Demeter are about to have to meet up at the Mt. Olympus parking lot to exchange little Persephone as per the custody arrangement. This month's novel is more than just a re-telling of the Greek myth every girl in a flower crown circa 2017 knew. It's one of the first retellings that we now take for granted since Madeline Miller's "Circe" popped off. This has been one of my favorite paperbacks to recap for y'all so please, gather up some figs to munch on, some olive oil to rub on, and a big goblet of ambrosia as I tell you the love story of Hades and Persephone...as well as the tragedy of Demeter and Kore.
