Montero On Boxing

On Tuesday, June 9 in Las Vegas, Nevada, Top Rank put on the first boxing card in the United States since the COVID-19 shutdown. The event was broadcast live from "The Bubble" in the MGM Grand on ESPN. Let's review the action!

The show featured more commentator bloviating, vignettes and political pandering and parroting than actual fighting - with only 17 round fought during the 3 hour+ broadcast. In the main event, featherweight prospect (and WBO world title holder) Shakur Stevenson stopped Felix Caraballo in six rounds.
