Welcome to Moody Presents, the weekly, half hour Bible teaching program from the Moody Bible Institute. Our speaker is Pastor Mark Jobe, President of the Moody Bible Institute. According to Pastor Mark we’ll see that there are a lot of people out there who say they are a Christian, but in reality, they’re not. Maybe they were baptized as a baby, maybe somewhere on a document it says they are Protestant or Catholic. Maybe they were born into a Christian family... none of these things make you a Christian. We’re going to talk about that today and get you thinking about your life and if you really are a true believer... because if you are, there will be evidence to prove it.

We are deep into our Contrast series on how to live different from the world but to be ready and able to share the Love of Jesus Christ. We are so thankful that you have joined us. It is our prayer that this program is just one way in which you feast on God’s Word. We are back in First John but now moving on to chapter 3 where the Apostle John speaks of love in a personal way in a way that should encourage us today to be ever growing and changing to be more like Jesus.

In our walk with God there are many who are inspired when they hear the Gospel and then make the commitment to follow God, but then persecution comes along and they fall away. 1st John addresses this... let’s get ready for the last days!
