Moonlight Lore

The battlefield was full of nightmares during the harrowing years of WW1. Many had no idea if their lungs would draw breath in the next hour. As we often hear, the horrors experiened on the Western Front were unlike any anyone should have to ever experience, but there was one particular battle that shook the participants to their very cores.

On the other side of Europe, right on the edge of the Eastern Front, the Germans were busy expanding their territory, but were met with a slight set back. The enemies they were encountering were rather difficult to kill. When one man fell, they seemed to rise again, taking up arms once more against the Imperial German Army. The Attack of the Dead Men, became notorious for defining just how gruesome and horrific war can truly be...

One of the most famous hoaxes when it comes to the world of the supernatural is the Cottingley Fairies. A series of photographs taken by two young girls in the early 1900s that captivated, and fooled, the world into believing Fairies and Magical Creatures truly exist. Though we now know the photographs to be faked, the story behind these creation of them is nonetheless facinating.

The days leading up to April 26, 1986 were relatively calm for those living in the city of Pripyat. They had no idea that only a short distance away, the worlds' worst nuclear disaster was about to unfold... or did they? Odd rumours have been surfacing around the internet that something was already amiss at Chernobyl long before the meltdown occured on that fatefull day. There was something soaring through the sky; something incredibly strange...

The isolating woods of North America are often said to be just a mysterious as much as they hold danger. Deadly creature lurking under the canopy of needles in teh furthest reaches of the continent go unnoticed from human eyes. These unknown monsters, while capturing our imaginations, are being who should be avoided at all costs. They are not friendly. They do not wish to interact with us humans unless it involves the atrocious act of making us their next meal...

*WARNING*

This episode has the potential to truly frighten those who do not do well with horror or other such topics such as intense murder, cannibalism, or incest. Listen at your own discretion.

Some would say you could feel its oppressive presence drift along the coastal winds. Evil had begun to plague the region. A poison had set in, descending onto those who would dare journey through the fog enceloped mountain passes or along the lonely wooded roadways. People began disappearing at an alarming rate. At first, it was believed bandits had settled into the countryside, robbing, then killing their victims. However, once the numbers of those lost began to steadily increase from the tens, then into the hundreds, it became clear the situation was far more dire than anyone could have anticipated. When the remains of discarded, gnawed on, severed limbs were discovered bobbing up and down along the western coast of Scotland, did people fully realize monsters were real and that they lived in the hills...

Hey there everyone! Sorry this is not a full episode like I'm sure many of you were hoping for when you saw this get uploaded. I'm just dropping a small update about what life has been like for me at the start of this new year. I've taken on some freelance work to do Audio Narrations and Voice work for some people, so I'be been focusing my time on those projects and the regular release of episodes for Moonlight Lore will just have to wait for a bit unfortunatly. But don't worry, a new, full length episode will be dropping at the end of the month, so I'm not leaving you all high and dry out there. Moonlight Lore is just simply taking a little break at the moment, so expect maybe just a few shorter episodes here and there that don't really amount to, what I would consider, as being regular episodes. Sorry for delivering some not so great news, but I promise, once I'm done with this work, Moonlight Lore will be back in full swing with some very exciting topics! Take care everyone!

Christmas time has taken many traditions from the Yule celebration, but one that seemed to have been left behind was the tradition of sharing ghost stories around a roaring fire. As Yule is the celebration of the winter solstice, the darkest day of the year, it was believed it was on this day that spirits and ghosts would cross over into our world from theirs, and interact with the living. Thus the practice of telling telling ghost stories came to be. In this holiday special, I decided I wanted to bring back this tradition, and brought you all five ghostly tales, that may or may not be true, for you to enjoy.

Thank you all of you who have supported the show this year and continue to show your support into 2023, I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season!

As global warming continues, more and more creatures on our earth disappear every year. The same could have once been said about the Woolly Mammoths. These prehistoric rulers of the Northern Hemisphere once thrived for thousands of years, grazing on the tundra's grassy plains and lofty plateaus before disappearing off the face of the planet... or did they? Rumours and stories have been emerging for the past couple centuries of people still incountering these majestic beasts, peacefully living out their lives far away from any sort of human habitation. Could these ancient animals have somehow survived the past thousands years without us knowing? Listen in to find out...

One of the most intriguing and popular stories that has made its way into the UFO hall of fame is that of the Travis Walton Abduction. In 1975, six witnesses watched as a flying saucer swooped down and kidnapped their young friend, only for him to disappear for five days, then return with an incredible story. In todays episode, I delve into the case of Travis Walton's Fire in the sky story, and let you come to the conclusion on if it was at all true, or a complicated hoax...
