Hurt people, hurt people. I have been hurt by people who have been hurt and I have also - typically unknowingly hurt people. Sometimes we say and do things out of fear of what other people will think of us - sometimes we do it because we lack clarity and confidence in who we are and why our story here on this side of eternity matters. 

We ALL have to grow! None--NONE-- of us will ever reach a pinnacle of tip top growth. We all will need to continue to grow! But others may be more knowledgeable than we are at a specific time. To be coachable is not to surrender or give someone else your power! Quite the opposite! To be coachable, you are becoming more powerful.

Being teachable means you’re leaving your pride or jealousy pedestal for the possibility that there’s something you haven’t learned yet that could make you even better.

We don’t have to wonder if it’s God will for us to live in freedom of the gift of forgiveness and when we choose to not release this and turn it over, we are not in His will for our lives.

His will is freedom. His will is forgiveness - its why he sent his son for us - to forgive us and to forgive others. We can’t say what he did was good enough for us, but its not good enough for the person who hurt us

Sometimes in our minds we decide that not releasing people from hurting us is getting even 

The truth is, we can’t be free until we let go of the grudge

The truth is, At some point you  are going to need someone to forgive YOU and we want to be forgiven right?  

I have a question for you

I really want you to think about it. Have you ever grumbled about something that has happened that was supposed to be a really good thing and you experienced disappointment with it? Ya, me too.

Have you ever expressed frustration with a desired experience that didn’t go as planned? 

What about an area of life that you serve or volunteer? Have you ever grumbled in that? 

I believe we can turn our perspective on any given situation when we truly focus on what is good. 

Can you believe we GET TO........

Its not uncommon that no matter what we pursue - the discouragement that we allow to stake up camp turns into the spirit of defeat. The longer we ruminate in discouragement, the sooner the spirt of defeat stakes up camp. 

Life happens to us all. We all experience setbacks, derails and we come to forks in the road that we sometimes choose that aren’t as ideal for where we desire to go in reaching our goals. 

Can we change the past? Is there anything we can do? 

If I were to tell you I have a way for you to reach your optimal weight and it would be easy would you do it?

If I had a way to help you bring in more money to your household and told you it would be easy would you do it?

If I had a way that would show you how to pick out the perfect spouse and spend the rest of your life in bliss and it would be easy, would you do it?

If I had a way to help you have a purpose with your life and told you it would be easy would you do it?

The truth is the answer to all the above is that it’s worth it. But in reality it’s going to be hard. The question is will you still do it?

Anything worth it WILL BE HARD

Get clear on the fact that God allows things in our lives that are not about us

Sometimes we make decisions in our free will that have consequences and those decisions and those consequences are something we can CHOOSE to learn and grow from and ask God the very powerful question, what can YOU do with this THROUGH me? 

This is our purpose. This is our life. This is what we are here for. To have a life that is lived with purpose, for purpose and on purpose

Purpose

I want you to think for a second. Off the top of your head - if time and money were not a consideration - the check is blank and being funded by a bank that has agreed to fill in the dollar amount for you and make it happen. Time is not a concern. What is it you would love to do? Your dreams. What is on your heart is not an accident. It's not unattainable. When you look at it as possible based off of your means - you are looking through your human eye as what when God desires to put his glasses on you to see what He is capable of doing through you. 

2020 is your year of less regrets and more of what matters! Listen to hear about how you TOO can have layers upon layers of purpose in both the ordinary and the EXTRAordinary in this life. When it comes to people - and painful situations, its not uncommon for us to flee and run. I am not talking about a person who is physically, emotionally or verbal hurtful. I am talking about awkward situations where words or experiences unfold and we often don’t know how to navigate it. 

We live in a culture where we can say and do just about whatever we want and the boundaries can become quite blurry sometimes. Especially when it comes to being hurt by people. When people are hurt, oftentimes they will hurt other people as a direct reflection of their own pain or insecurity. 

Who or what are you "fleeing" from? What is a healthy response? Will you grow through it or go? Flee or face?
