We talk a lot about how important building your list is, and we hear about the big mistakes like adding people to a list without permission etc. What we rarely talk about though is things like consistency, personality, and sales in email. These three pieces are critical to see results from your emails.
And wanting results is ok, thinking about the ROI of email is ok. Yes value is critical and we all want to share messages that are going to help our community, but we can also help them with our products and services, and the money is only in the list if we use it wisely.

The idea of scheduling your social media tends to bring up either excitement or a total lack of credibility. The thing is it can be amazing, if excited well.
Today we're talking about the 2 kinds of social media scheduling I focus on (one has EVERYTHING to do with getting engaged). We start though with WHY scheduling is such an important piece of your social media strategy.

As entrepreneurs we have a lot of information coming at us everyday, and unfortunately so much of it is super valuable. The reality is we want and need to consume this stuff, we have programs, books, memberships (hi Backstage Pass), podcasts, blog posts, and likely more. The tough part comes in when we don't have a lot of time to consume all of it (or any of it).
When you're ready to dive in though, how do you make it happen? That's what I'm breaking down today (and spoiler, some of it means not trying to do it all.

Businesses evolve, they just do. It may be because we learn what we love, we learn more about what we do, or just because we decide it's time to make something new. It doesn't matter about the why though, it matters that you deal with it in a way that feels good for you and for your clients.
As our brands evolve and our offerings change we also have to revisit that all important ideal client, but how do we deal with those clients that are not ideal anymore? In many cases it's still a really powerful relationship, it's just not a fit moving forward.
RM Harrison joins us to talk about exactly that, how to make the most of those relationships moving forward, or walk away in some cases.
A little about RM…RM Harrison shows passion-fueled, highly creative and slightly rebellious solopreneurs how to redefine business on their terms. A clarity junkie, RM is obsessed with self-discovery and helping people uncover the truth about how they serve best.
Her work combines coaching and business strategy to help solo business owners achieve sustainable growth, so that they can show up fully supported and free to give their best selves to the work they're hired to do.
When she's not sharing photos of her coffee on Instagram he's dishing B.S.-free advice about making your business work on your terms on the #rmTruth Blog.

As organic reach has crashed this year more and more people are starting Facebook groups. Some folks have launched them and just not seen a return, others have had epic success, and even more are still sitting on the fence not sure how to even start.
It's possible to build that engaged community right from the start by really looking at what you need from the start, and honestly treating your Facebook group as a LAUNCH, just like you would anything else new in your business.

I love email marketing, I love that people are invested in the community at a level that allows me to connect right in their inbox. It's something I don't take for granted, and I work hard to build a list that genuinely wants to invest their time in making their online marketing efforts better. Facebook has been critical for that!
Today I'm once again pulling back the curtain and sharing the three ways I grow my email list thanks to Facebook.
Before that though, please know that Facebook alone isn't how I grow my list, this is simply one piece of the larger puzzle. Once again, a Facebook page is not a whole social media strategy, and certainly not a whole marketing plan.

This month we celebrate 4 months of Hit the Mic Backstage and it's been incredible. Without a doubt one of the best things I've ever done, and I'm so happy to continue to welcome members. I've learned a few things though, a few things I didn't expect.
In the spirit of transparency, and because I know several of you are looking to start membership sites, I'm sharing those lessons today.
