Since launching Hit the Mic TV more than a few folks have asked me why I added MORE content. Especially since this show already goes out twice a week. There has been a lot of questions about the idea of creating "too much content" today I
call bullshit on the idea that you can create too much content and get real about why! Someone ready my soapbox...

Launching really is the life blood of your online business. It's not just about BIG course launches but launching your 1-on-1 services, or even launching a webinar. Today though we're going to talk about launching programs and what needs to be in place to do that. Emily also kills the myth that there is a mystical number EVERYONE must have before launching a program.
A little about Emily…Emily is an experienced online marketing + launch strategist. She helps female entrepreneurs launch online, make the switch from hobby to profitable business, and take their message + services to a larger audience. Emily is known for her calm nature and her ability to un-complicate the world of marketing and business. I talk a lot about networking online, you know I'm all about the power of connecting with people via social media. Here's the thing though those relationships can be made even stronger if you cement those relationships in person. Essentially using the two pieces of networking together makes your networking SUPER effective. Also it makes those quick connections at events go the distance because you're able to continue your conversations online. Dive in and listen to today's episode I'm sharing a few things, first up the latest here at Hit the Mic including a little more talk of the BRAND NEW Hit the Mic TV but also a few other places you can find me RIGHT NOW. Also I'm spilling the beans on what's happening on episode 100 which is about a month away!

Although today's episode is all about being location independent, it's not all about giving up your home and traveling full time. Part of the reason we started our businesses, and the biggest luxury of an online business is to be able to work from anywhere, but if you needed to could you? Also if you do want to give it all up and become a nomad, today's guest is showing us how.
A little about Amy…Amy Scott quit her office job to travel the world in 2004 and never looked back. She now keeps a home base in Buenos Aires while she travels the world with her Argentine husband. She's the founder of Nomadtopia, a hub of information, inspiration, community, and support for others who also want to live their ideal life, anywhere in the world. Through her other business, Nomad Editorial, she helps nonfiction writers finish their books.

Guest posting is not the only way to get in front of other audiences. One SERIOUSLY overlooked way is by booking guest spots on podcasts. Podcast guest spots are not reserved for other podcasters. Take advantage of the power of podcasting without launching a show. Today's episode is filled with actionable steps to get that done!

This episode is a bit different, but in my opinion one of the most important. I'm joined by Mallie Rydzik who shares her story of building her business after breaking down. We've all been at some low point in our life and it's really inspiring how Mallie has bounced back with the support of your family, and taking that big first step.. asking for help. Be sure to hit the comments and share a few ways you take care of yourself while growing your business.
A little about Mallie…Mallie Rydzik, M.S., is a coach, writer, and speaker who works with fellow overeducated and underfulfilled Millennials to achieve work-life balance and get creative in their career paths. She is a recovering academic who dropped out of a Ph.D. program following a mental health breakdown, which led to diagnoses of obsessive-compulsive disorder, chronic depression, and binge eating disorder. This was the catalyst that drove her to rediscover life and work. A scientist by trade, she uses a combination of her analytical and creative mind to help others identify both deficiencies and strengths in their lives and careers. She writes and podcasts about the future of work, work-life balance, and creative career creation at The Off-Road Millennial. Mallie is the author of the upcoming book, Owning It: How To Embrace The Best AND Worst Parts Of You To Thrive In Life And Business.

There seems to be a big movement towards ditching your Facebook page. Everyday I talk to at least 3 people who tell me they're going to ditch their page and start using their profile to share content and market their business. Today I'm sharing why that's not a great idea. I'm also taking on the folks who are saying that Facebook is "out to get small business owners, by forcing them to pay for ads". It's not true, listen in and I'll share why.
