Hey there! It's Pamela and Mary from the More Than Enough podcast!
In this episode, we're tackling the challenge of setting goals and making plans in times when everything feels uncertain! January, with its fresh start, often brings a mix of hope and instability.
When faced with confusion and shaky ground, we've found a powerful practice: pausing to reflect on the last known truth we knew for sure. It's about asking ourselves. This process serves as an anchor, helping us navigate uncertainty by standing firm on the truths we've received.
This practice involves looking back at the last certainty, and the Lord's follow-up question, "Has anything changed?" This prevents impulsive decisions based on temporary confusion. It's a thoughtful way to discern between emotional turbulence and genuine shifts in direction. This approach can be applied to both small decisions and significant life choices.
Regular check-ins, whether quarterly or annually, ensure ongoing alignment with the path God has revealed, preventing unnecessary detours. Seeking guidance from mature believers further enriches this journey, providing valuable insights and clarity.
So, as we step into the new year, let's embrace the intentional process of navigating uncertainty, anchored in the truths we've received and guided by the wisdom of reflection and community.
Thanks for joining us for our first podcast of 2024!!!! And Happy New Year!

This week, we dive into week two of our Immanuel series, reflecting on the Trinity's perspective before time began and how God had humanity in His heart like an author crafting a storyline. We discuss the intricacies of the incarnation, emphasizing that this was the best way to bring the most glory to the Father.
We share thoughts on the Trinity's anticipation leading up to Christmas, the sobriety of knowing the challenges ahead, and the unexpected aspects of Jesus' birth.
The discussion touches on the challenges faced by Mary and Joseph, enduring shame and ridicule, and the unexpected path they had to navigate after Jesus' birth. We explore the significance of Jesus growing up, emphasizing the continuous unfolding of God's plan beyond the initial miraculous events.
As we conclude, we acknowledge that the Christmas story might be challenging for some to grasp, but we encourage listeners to open their hearts, ask questions, and seek understanding. Whether you're exploring faith or deepening your relationship with God, the Christmas narrative holds the transformative power of a miraculous story.
Join us in the next episode as we continue to unpack the Immanuel series and explore the profound implications of God becoming human.

On today's episode we are discussing how God's overwhelming beauty in all of creation can move our hearts in adoration.
We're talking about something that's outside of us, we're beholding it. And it isn't really something that's happening to us, except to our hearts. And that's this idea, when God kind of takes your breath away.
Some ways we can lean into this is being present, being mindful, pausing in the moments, and seeing each moment and each conversation as an opportunity to behold His beauty and to glean something beautiful.
