  • 32: How to Respond When God Does The Impossible?

We are starting a new series for the month of November, which we're calling Hearts Overflowing -Living out of a Heart of Thanksgiving and Praise.

Today we are talking about what it looks like to be thankful, content, and full of praise and adoration for God when He does the impossible in our lives.

Sometimes it can be easy to give God praise in the moment when something miraculous happens, but like the Israelites, we can so easily forget God's goodness and faithfulness in our lives.

We discuss how important it is that we continually remember and look on ALL that God has done in our lives and how joy is waiting on the other side of a thankful heart!

  • 31: The Acceptance of The Cross

In today's episode we are wrapping up a month long series on acceptance.

Today we discussed the acceptance of the cross and what that can look like in our every day life.

To accept the cross means to accept humility. To accept suffering, to accept that it’s Christ and no other. To accept the call to go low. To be unseen and mis-understood. To lay down our rights and our agenda.

To accept the cross is to acknowledge that our life is not our own. We are truly living for another age! And how it will be worth it all!!

  • 30: Accepting The Will of The Father

We’ve been talking this month about acceptance.

Today we're talking about what it means to accept the will of the Father. We believe we are called to trust the Lord, to lay down our agenda, and our rights and to seek the Lord's will above all else.

But what does that look like? How do we know what the will of the Father is over our lives?

We discuss that so much of knowing the will of the Father is about learning to trust His storyline over our lives and to believe that His plans for us are good!

  • 29: Accepting Your Limitations and Weaknesses

This week, we are continuing our series on acceptance. Last week, we talked about the acceptance of trials and suffering. You can go back and listen to that. The whole month of October, we're talking about different aspects of acceptance and how accepting these different parts of our lives and these different parts about who God says He is and the things that he implements in our lives is really so life giving for us to begin to accept these things and to move forward.

Today we're talking about our own limitations and weaknesses.

We all have limitations, every one of us. Even just as human beings, we have limitations. And when we say weakness, that just means you lack strength, you might be inadequate in some areas, or you might be deficient of something.

We all can block things out because it's too painful to look. But, I think one place to start is that we would acknowledge that we have limitations. We would acknowledge that we have weakness, and choose to accept the things we cannot change and be willing to look at the some of the things we can!

  • 28: Accepting Trials and Suffering

The month of October we are discussing the Power of Acceptance and the importance acceptance is in our emotional and spiritual growth.

In today's episode we're talking about suffering as it relates to humanity. We discuss all the aspects of suffering, particularly as it relates to a believer, and what is our narrative in the midst of it.

Suffering is a human reality. And to minimize it or block it out is not, is not good for any of us.

But we have the ability in God to be begin to change our responses and our reactions and our emotions by spending more and more time thinking on what is lovely and beautiful as we sit with Him.

  • 27: The Power of Acceptance

Today we are starting a new series on the Power of Acceptance in our lives.

We are currently in a series about what it looks like to fully integrate the body, soul, and spirit. The month of September we focused on "the body" and we called it Bringing Chaos to Order and we looked at different practical parts of our lives and how even those most basic and practical things about ourselves and our lives can be sacred and help shape us into the person we’re becoming.

This month we’re diving into the soul, or some would call "the mind". And we’re titling this month- the power of acceptance.

Acceptance is so powerful and can shift our belief system in a dramatic way. We have to begin to accept things for the way that they are. It’s then, we can learn to grow and ultimately heal!

  • 25: How Rhythms and Routines Add Value To Our Lives

On today's episode we are discussing the value that adding rhythms and routines has our lives.

Rhythms help shape our lives. They bring order and peace. They remove confusion and bring clarity. When our mind and hearts are weary and overwhelmed, a rhythm and routine are the thing that helps bring us back and center and anchor our hearts. Reminding us to go back to what matters and to not get caught up in the things that don’t.

The last two weeks we have implemented a quiet time, and have simplified our lives and removed some of the things that have become noise and distraction and were not adding value to our lives.

Now we’re going to talk about the beauty of rhythms and routines and how adding this practical piece of order into our lives can bring such peace to every other area!

  • 24: How To Begin To Simplify Your Life

Today's episode is week 2 in a series talking about the body (in regards to the body, soul, and spirit).

In today's episode we're discussing how we can begin to look at our lives and notice the things that are working well and begin to take inventory of the things that aren't.

Simplifying isn't just cleaning out your closet and getting rid of a third of your shoe collection (although that definitely is a part of it). Simplifying our lives is about looking at every aspect of our lives and accessing if we are truly giving our time, resources, and energy to the things we most value, and if not, how we can begin to cut those things out and focus on whats the highest priority to us.
