Catherine McNiel writes about finding God in the real world we live in daily calling these observations "everyday epiphanies." Examples include what we learn about life from the changing seasons, how gardening can connect community, and motherhood as a spiritual discipline (AKA when you don't have much quiet or time in your days). In this conversation, we talk through all of this plus what human interaction looks like during this slice of history and how to engage neighbors, strangers, and enemies well. I think you'll love it.

Mitch Aldridge has been one of my closest friends over the last 13 years and we've seen each other through a lot of life, including some of our darkest moments. He's been on my dream guest list from the beginning, but recently as I've heard Mitch process this season of life that he and Lindsey are navigating I knew that's what I wanted him to talk about. In this episode, Mitch shares a massive part of his story and how he can be convinced that God is still good – even (maybe especially) in the darkest night of the soul.

Welcome back to another "just me" episode! These are becoming favorites because I like the idea of pausing the (incredible) weekly guest interviews to sit down and catch up on what life has looked like lately. Today I am sharing stories from this summer and answering a few questions that were submitted to the podcast.

Our bodies frequently feel like a problem to be solved. That if we just "did better" or "tried harder" we could look like and attain the picture we have in mind. I've battled my own body as it has changed throughout my 20s and it became especially disorienting after experiencing two miscarriages over the last year. That's when I met Kristen Bunger. Kristen is a registered dietitian who believes that healing our relationship with food is one of the most important aspects of health for any person. She has experience working with children, adolescents and adults with eating disorders, hematology, and oncology diagnoses. Our conversation today centers on all things nutrition and health by reframing the way we think about our bodies and finding ways to win with our expectations and health goals.

My friend, Megan Mucci, is a two-time Emmy nominated designer and in this episode she shares the story of landing her dream job at The Drew Barrymore Show. What I love most is that Megan shares the whole story – all of the wins and setbacks – and highlights how God was with her every step of the way piecing it all together to bring her to where she is today. And I am convinced this is still just the beginning for her (and the show). I can't wait to see what comes next!

Today is my birthday and I'm turning 31 (thirty-fun?) years old! Last year on a similar episode, I answered questions reflecting on life this year and hopes for the next one. Today I'm revisiting the same questions with a fresh set of answers after another lap around the sun. Here are the questions –
