Foundations for New Believers: Remembrances for Faithful Followers
This week I decided to defer the return to the John 1 series in favor of discussions key Bible verses from the Gospel that set a foundation for faith and help anchor a sustained faith for those who continue in the faith. As to aid believers in sharing or helping new believers, these verses and insights from a discussion of these essential doctrines will remind of important teachings of Christ.
Next week, we will return to the study of John's gospel. Until then, please share this podcast with others that might find a blessing as well, and do subscribe.
Blessings in Christ,

Holy Week #7 - The Triumph at the Terminal Time
In a continuing series of devotions during Holy Week, this episode focuses the things Jesus said before His death and resurrection that foretold of the end game of God.
He tells them of a place that He prepares and the faith required of them to enter into to grace, a disposition unlike that of the unbelieving Jews and their end..
The principles of preparation and remembrance in our own struggles can help us persevere during our dark days so that we can hang on in faith and not despair as doubt attempts to creep in.
More awaits in one more episodes that conclude the series. Remember to follow me on TikTok, Instagram, or Facebook to stay apprised of moretowonder. You will also find additional resources at moretowonder.org.

Holy Week #6 - The Predictive Path to the Passover: A Prepared Cross
In a continuing series of devotions during Holy Week, this episode focuses on the manner in which Jesus forecasted His death and resurrection as a continuous means of preparing His disciples for His death and departure.
The despair that they would face until the resurrection must have overwhelmed them. We can only hope that during that time, they remembered His teaching, and the hope in the fulfillment of all Jesus taught them would carry them until He rose from the grave.
The principles of preparation and remembrance in our own struggles can help us persevere during our dark days so that we can hang on in faith and not despair as doubt attempts to creep in.

HOLY WEEK #4 - A Gospel for the World: A Mission of Service and Obedience
This Holy Week episode builds on themes from Jesus' teaching on how His death will bring life to others, a principle that He calls His disciples to replicate in service and obedience. It also features a redemption ideology in the spread of the Good News to the Gentiles much earlier than many Christians understand.
The content also gives special attention to important meaning within some of the keys words that give explanation on a deeper level.
Remember also that you can find additional resources at moretowonder.org where you can find expository Bible book studies to deepen your faith and understanding of the Bible.

HOLY WEEK #3 --- The Architecture of Jesus' Trouble: A Stirring of Compassion on Point with a Mission
This episode of moretowonder during the Holy Week Series addresses insight gleans from the Greek text that illuminate the character, the call, and the purposes of Jesus' troubled soul.

HOLY WEEK #2 –– THE CONNECTIVITY OF LIGHT: A COHERENT GOSPEL DESIGN
Monday, March 30
THE HOLY WEEK SERIES #2
The frequency of references to the Light in the Bible, with particular interest to both God the Father and Christ the Son plays an important role in describing God Himself, but also the character of God. In John Chapter 12, Jesus builds on this motif in metaphorically calling people to not only believe in Him as the Christ, but to follow Him as He lights their way. He extends the same invitation to us wherein He will lead us to become children of the Light, a privileged position not but by family bonds but by the will of God by grace through faith in Christ.

Join me in devoting ourselves to deeply contemplate the Christ this Holy Week. We will discover how Jesus prepares His disciples for His departure, which applies to how we should live in the waiting for His return.

THE HOLY WEEK SERIES #1
This, the first episode in the special Holy Week Series, features an analysis of the symbolism present as Mary anoints Jesus feet. We find many corollaries in Scripture that pertain to the Messianic character of Christ, significant to Him fulfilling that role.
This week, I will post daily podcasts to enhance your attention to the importance of these several days leading to Good Friday and the celebration of the Risen Christ on Easter Sunday.
You can also find devotional commentary in study form at my website. I hope you will find a blessing in it.

In this episode of moretowonder, we explore the nuance of verb forms which tell a story. John's gospel puts us right in the middle of the action as the Baptizer recounts how he came to recognize Jesus as the Christ. The Greek verbs in their nuance tell a story difficult to translate, but worth the exposition. In uncovering these details, we uncover several parallels in our own faith journey.

In this episode of moretowonder, we examine the life of John the Baptizer in how he lived out his calling in the face of criticism. He knew his role in the gospel mission and did not waiver even when tested. As the first witness to Christ in John's gospel, the Baptizer serves as the principal model for Christian testimony with a principle of how to bear that testimony.
