I'm not sure I can give unconditional love, but this is an attempt to get at what it might look like.

Thoughts on why being angry is important and common, and thoughts on why it's not the full experience of leaving Mormonism. Also why Mormons tend to see only the angry ex-Mormon experience.

When you grow up Mormon, you are taught to reject all of the "negative" emotions and this often means that they pop out in unexpected and uncontrolled ways. It also means that you've cut off part of your own humanity. About my journey back to a whole self.

Every ten years, it seems that I discover a new part of internalized misogyny inside myself. This episode focuses on what happened when I took off my garments.

An age old question I don't even try to answer, but I do ramble on about lots of possible answers and why I reject most of them, even if I'm sometimes attracted to the idea that suffering makes us kinder and more empathetic.

We try so hard to tell family and friends we haven't changed and we're still a "good person," but isn't that just falling back into their paradigm? My experience with God has been that She doesn't care about working hard to always improve and be better, but instead to more fully discover ourselves and embrace the good and bad inextricably entwined.

Mormonism isn't great at teaching people to understand respectful boundaries and women in particular are encouraged to have no boundaries and to give and give forever. Some thoughts on my early life as a Mormon mother and how I see things now.

All about the "tipping point" when it became more painful to stay than it was to leave. I can see each of the steps more clearly now, on this side, than I think I could see them at the time.

I have rules for my Sabbatical this year. (I love rules and only feel comfortable if they're clearly laid out and acknowledged). You don't have to have the same rules as mine, but I offer tips on how to extricate yourself from callings and friendships, and how to move forward gently.

After a number of changes that are precisely what I wanted to see in Mormonism, and none of them make me want to go back. Why its too late for me. (Hint: no apologies, no admission that it was ever wrong before--insistence that all the changes happen at exactly the moment God wanted).
