A special session is coming for the Alaska state legislature after lawmakers struggled to pass a plan to create a gas line.

An Anchorage man was killed early Tuesday morning in a police shooting with little details as to what occurred in the moments officers drew their weapons on an east Anchorage roadway. Anchorage Police Chief Sean Case called the shooting and other recent incidents like it "frustrating."
