Meet Michelle Carter, owner of MCB Nurse Consultant.
To create a stronger foundation for the future of clinical nurse leaders for long-term care
organizations and their clinical nurse leaders.
I have been in the nursing field for over 30 years.
I have worked in long-term Care for most of my career as a nurse.
I started in the position of a certified nurse aide, LPN, RN staff, and supervisor ADON unit
manager then to the position of Director of Nursing. I have worked as a DON for over 15 years.
Over the past six years, I have seen a profound change in this field.
When I returned to school, I obtained an MSN degree to teach and help nurses. And from my
experience, the Director of Nursing needs the guidance and support more than anyone I believe it
is a role that does not get the extra support that is truly need. So, I decided why not take my
experience and help other clinical nurse leaders, such as the DON, to build their confidence and
improve leaderships and overcome the challenges in their roles.
I have a passion for helping long-term clinical nurse leaders obtain the recognition they deserve
and give back to the specialty of healthcare, which gave me a great career.
So I decided to start my own consulting and coaching company to assist the clinical nurse
leaders , the DONS. My vision for my company is to
To create a stronger foundation for the future of clinical nurse leaders for long-term care
organizations and their clinical nurse leaders.
