We are given 86,400 seconds each day. 1440 minutes in 24 hours. Sometimes it’s seems to pass by slowest and other times, very fast - it all depends on what we are doing. Regardless, time is limited and we have no idea how long we each have... how much are we giving to the Lord?

We never like to see our loves ones walk out the door but we know that sometimes that has to happen. Kids grow up and they build their own families. And yes, family and friends die and we miss them. Departing is hard to handle. Jesus himself in fact, told the disciples He had to go so the Holy Spirit could come and eventually, set the stage for His return! Leaving in this case was a good thing!

We truly cannot tell by the look on someone's face what they are experiencing.  Of course there are the obvious emotions of crying and laughing but even then, they may be shrouded in another deeper emotion we do not understand.  Regardless of what we may think, we need to simply be encouragers and offer words of kindness.  It will go a long way.

What we desire in life really tells a lot about who we are as a person.  How much we desire to accumulate shows our priorities.  As we go through life, we strive for the best but sometimes acquiring "the best" may take time and effort and yes, patience and waiting.  We must make sure we obtain what we need honestly and appropriately; rushing through life and making hasty decision usually leads to bad and costly decisions.  Life will throw us curve balls and difficult times and test us but we need to step back and take a deep breath before making choices we will regret.

Close doesn’t count in anything but horse shoes and hand grenades. Almost isn’t close enough when it comes to believing the truths of God’s Word. We have to believe it all; especially when it comes to salvation by Christ!

There's lots of noise around us.  If we had a volume button, it would be time to at least turn it down but, it may also be time to find the mute button.  Life can become overwhelming for everyone no matter what walk of life you have and no matter what your age or spiritual health.  Our faith can be tested.  Maybe it's time to be silent and let God speak.

It’s easy to be wronged and just naturally retaliate. But for the Christian, our job is to do the unnatural and to work to turn the other cheek and to pray for our enemies and those who simply do not like us or our beliefs.

Who we are and how we act is very important when it comes to showing the world who Jesus is. Are we leading people to Christ or are we giving them reason to doubt. Christ gave the commandment to love as He Loved. I believe the time to start is now.

The best selling book of all time is the Bible at one of the most neglected books of all times is the Bible. It seems to sit for extended periods of time and sold after only in troubled times. Let’s not let God‘s word sit idle. Pick it up. It’s a live - Treat it as such.

Tired. Weak. Exhausted. No energy. Can’t take another step. Can’t get out of the bed.… Not our God!
