Little whirlwinds are actually kind of neat - they pick up dirt and leaves and carry them into the air and are fun to watch.  They are amazing things to watch and a puzzle to me as to how they form.  It has to do with warm air I believe but regardless, they are pretty cool to watch.  This world we live it is full of mysteries - unfortunately, one thing is not a mystery.  Mankind's actions are not getting any better.  The end of the story tells of the fall of man and it tells of the God who is in control of the whirlwind of time that we live.  He's in control and we must not lose sight of that one fact.

We have a God that is able to rule with the rod of iron and raise His "arm" in judgment while at the same time, use the same arm to cradle an injured sheep as our Shepherd.  What a mighty, gentle God we serve...

I believe we all have asked for the Lord to show  up in our lives in the past. But, have we really cried out in such a way that we sought in a sincerely reverent manner, that we called out for Him to show us His true and powerful glory?  I don't believe anyone today has truly seen the power of the Lord in its truest sense.  I believe He's wait on us to prepare ourselves for it and to sincerely ask for it!  And then, I believe He will show up!

My what a time we live!  Emotional and spiritual rollercoaster would be understatements to describe how people feel.  Anyone, including pastors and preachers, who tell you otherwise, are hiding behind a lie.  Our faith is strong, but as the Bible states, the spirit is many times willing but the flesh, the "who" we are, seems to get in the way and cause anxiety!  Sometimes we just need to step back and take a deep breath and find a little nugget of comfort somewhere and maybe in someone!

The truth is so important to the times in which we live. And yes, the truth is not always pleasant do not always enjoyable but as the Bible says the truth shall make you free. John saw things that were not imaginable to us but yet he was told to share both the sweet and the bitter. God’s word is powerful and we need to ingest it all even when it convicts the soul and makes us feel unworthy. It’s the same word that then save the soul and sets us on the right path to righteousness.

Life. Fill in the blank because each one of us can and will tell and different story. It will be different from day to day as we experience the ups and downs of life. Put your mind in track with the Lord and think on His thoughts...

There are a lot of things you and I could talk about day in and day out but there’s nothing better than the story and life of our Savior Jesus Christ. In fact, we are instructed to tell all the world about who he is and what he has done, especially for us as individuals. Let’s utilize the gift of the Holy Ghost and share the story of Christ and what he has done for each one of us each and every day.

Practice makes perfect.  Ever heard that statement?  When it comes to athletics or something technical in nature, I believe that to be the case as best as is humanly possible.  The implication is that repetition brings about improvement.  Hearing something over and over again usually brings about remembrance.  Just think of your favorite song... you've heard it time and time again... and you remember it...

If we desire to make right decisions, our minds better be as clear as possible.  We should be focused on the task at hand.  Fear, doubt, and anger will surely cloud the situation and lead to emotional choices instead of thoughtful and prayerful actions.  Sober minded - a Bible term we should become familiar with.

Separation and isolation can be hard.  We are people who need togetherness.  In times when we are apart from each other, and circumstances are not what we would like, maybe it's God trying to get in touch!  Let's not forget that when we are alone, we're really not!
