General Sir Peter Cosgrove is one of Australia's most significant public figures and joined Gareth Parker to discuss his memoir "You Shouldn't have Joined - A Memoir".

As a soldier he saw action in Vietnam, winning the Military Cross, and rose to the very top of his profession, becoming Chief of the Defence Force.

Soon after his retirement from the Army, he was invited to take charge of the huge relief and rebuilding operation in Queensland after the devastation of Cyclone Larry.

Ambulance ramping at Perth hospitals during October reached a new all-time record high, with patients waiting 3285 hours in ambulances before being admitted to emergency departments. 

In September 3070 ramping hours were recorded at WA hospitals, which eclipsed the previous record of 2700 recorded in the 2019 flu season.

Australian Medical Association Dr Andrew Miller told Gareth Parker there was not enough beds in hospitals, Fiona Stanley - the newest hospital was built to small and the State Government had failed to find solutions for this issue.

Gareth Parker speaks to Jay, who was one of two men who made a citizen's arrest of a 61 year old man who they'd enticed to a local park by pretending to be a 14 year old boy on dating site Grindr.

Jay told Gareth that just minutes after creating the fake profile it received dozens of 'hits' online, despite clearly stating it was for a 14 year old.

He and his friend have confronted five people in person - all over 18 - who agreed to meet up with someone they believed was a 14 year old boy. 

One of the confrontations led to an arrest of a 61 year old who has been charged with intent to procure a person believed to be under 16 years for sexual activity. 

He was refused bail.

Jay said although he knew some people including the Police didn't encourage his behaviour he would continue. 

"There is a major problem with this stuff," he said. 

"For us we feel we are doing a good. 

"I know a few Police officers and they have told me for everyone one they catch there could be 50 that get away.

"If it wasn't us it could be an actual 14 year old meeting that man."

A tiny device the size of a small paperclip has been shown to help patients with upper limb paralysis to text, email and even shop online in the first human trial.

A former fruit packer is concerned about whether the award rate is fair after earning 67 dollars for a day's work.

Gareth Parker spoke to Caprice - who was in need of employment and secured a position packing strawberries in Bullsbrook---she was told she'd be paid 14.6 cents per punnet.

After completing training and her first day of work the 20-year-old discovered her pay was below 70 dollars for the day.

She says other more experienced packers weren't being paid much more.
