  • Victoria Park council votes on the future of footy at Mineral Resources Park
Future AFL pre-season, AFLW and WAFL games involving the West Coast Eagles may no longer be allowed to take place at Mineral Resources Park because of concerns over game-day traffic clogging suburban streets.
The Western Australian Planning Commission has the final say, but last night the council voted to advise the WAPC to approve AFLW, WAFLW and Perth Football Club WAFL matches at the venue.
However the council also voted to advise the WAPC to oppose AFL preseason matches and West Coast Eagles WAFL matches due to a lack of information being provided around how traffic and parking would be managed on game days.

  • Why a Sydney columnists says a 'universal bonk ban' will help workplaces
Jenna Price, columinst at the Age and Sydney Morning Herald, says workplaces should implement a universal 'bonk bank' to stop colleagues having office relationships.
Jenna says modern technology means for many people work never stops, they receive emails early in the morning and late at night and work is all-consuming.
"Because of this we don't get out anymore, we don't look around, we are looking for fun in our own office and I think that is where the whole problem starts," she said.
"The universal bonk ban is kind of tongue in cheek, but where there is a terrible power balance it causes mayhem in the office.
"It starts to have a really big impact on the people around them too."

It is the first time in three months that South Australia recorded locally acquired coronavirus cases.
One of those who tested positive works in the state's hotel quarantine system and the discovery has prompted authorities to require mandatory COVID-19 testing of all staff working in SA's quarantine hotels.
