19:57 - Broncos OC Davis Webb will now call the plays on offense. What changes can he/should he make? What do we want to see him try? It's not like he's stepping into a dumpster fire. He has an AFC Championship-caliber team to work with and play around with.

0:00 - Yesterday at the NFL Combine, Sean Payton announced that Broncos Offensive Coordinator Davis Webb will be calling plays next year. Wow...it finally happened! Good for Davis. Sean's presser felt very open and honest. A tiny bit of Snarky Sean escaped when he was asked about Bo Nix and Predisposed AnkleGate 2K26 (where were you?), but aside from that, it felt like a very natural conversation about this changing of the guard.

16:01 - Happy Trails, Sammy G! La Tornade is now touching down in Pittsburgh, PA with the Penguins. Two things can be true. Thing one: Brett's been the biggest defender of Sammy G there is. Poor guy has caught TONS of unnecessary arrows over the years, and he's made a big impact on his team. Thing two: it was time to move on. This trade will be better for everyone involved in the long run. 

33:27 - Kaner doesn't think the Avs are done wheeling and dealing yet. Trading Sammy G freed up a good chunk of cap space, so he thinks other moves are on the horizon. 
After that, Broncos fans are over the moon about Davis Webb taking over offensive playcalling! They're acting like the Broncos offense will suddenly turn into that prolific 2013 offense overnight. It's good that everyone has complete faith! But maybe ease off the gas a bit. We have no idea how Davis Webb truly will look as a playcaller.

After that...the Avalanche are back in action tomorrow night on the road in SLC vs the Mammoth. Which players from the Olympics will be back on the ice for Colorado? Will any guys get some rest before the final push to the playoffs? What can we expect from this back half of the season?

14:47 - Think about how far the Broncos have come in such a short amount of time. Their turnaround has been meteoric. Somehow, the Russell Wilson/Nathaniel Hackett era feels like a lifetime ago. And yet, there are still more tweaks to the roster that need to be made. 

36:35 - Yesterday, Zac Veen hit a walkoff MOONSHOT home run for the Rockies in spring training. And he looks HUGE. He's more than 40 lbs heavier than he was last season. Hey man, if that's what it takes to hit dingers, then we're totally here for Jacked Veen.

Anyway, USA beat Canada yesterday in hockey to wrap up the Olympics on a high note. Now look...a silver medal is nothing to sneeze at! That's an amazing accomplishment. But Team Canada looked incredibly crushed and depressed as they received their medals. And what made it worse...they all received a plushie doll of the Olympics mascot too. Nathan MacKinnon had to use every ounce of self control in his system to not rip the head off that damn thing. Moser said that's unacceptable. You canNOT give a grown man a stuffed animal as a consolation prize.

17:38 - The Avalanche and the Nuggets are facing similar problems right now. What used to be their greatest strength is now their biggest weakness. What's the fix?

The guy who was a sieve vs the Avalanche in the playoffs is now an Olympics legend. 

21:22 - The Nuggets collapsed vs. a depleted Golden State Warriors team yesterday and couldn't finish down the stretch. What kind of bizarro world are we in now? This Nuggets squad used to be KILLERS in the clutch. The 4th quarter was when they played their best! Now, it's their worst quarter. Finishing games makes the difference in the playoffs. Period. They better figure this out soon.
