And the cap amount they're (supposedly) going to propose would absolutely cripple the big spenders like the Dodgers. They'd have to gut half their roster tomorrow. The MLB is 110% headed for another lockout.

18:08 - The Cartoon Voice of Your Colorado Avalanche Kyle Keefe joined the show to break down his unique broadcast experience from yesterday. He had to speak in a kid-friendly voice and demeanor and tailor the commentary towards 7-year-olds. BUT Keefer absolutely DESPISES the Minnesota Wild. How was he able to keep his cool? SERENITY NOW!

Use "lower body injury." No need to air his dirty laundry. Oh, by the way...Moser also dealt with a rear end infection of his own once upon a time...

0:00 - Losing to the Minnesota Wild still hurts, even in a cartoon playtime world. Did you watch the normal broadcast, or the Bernie's Mountain Showdown animated broadcast with a virtual Kyle Keefe and Mark Rycroft? Vic tuned into the cartoon broadcast for a bit. Is he now a convert? Will he now "do" cartoons?

21:08 - Remember how the NFL PA Survey/Report cards weren't supposed to be public anymore? Well life...uh...finds a way. The report cards made their way to the interwebz last night, and the Broncos did very well across the board. They received only 2 low(ish) grades, and one of those was a bit perplexing.

36:09 - The Nuggets are in OKC to face the Thunder tonight! It's a big measuring stick game for Denver. How will they stack up against the top team in the West?

31:32 - The Avalanche are doing their animated simulcast game tonight! The infamous Cartoon broadcast against the Minnesota Wild. What are the keys to a cartoon victory?

0:00 - Sean Payton gave up playcalling to Davis Webb AND handled it well in his press conference at the Combine. That shows growth from the ol' curmudgeon. Maybe he put down his lattes in the offseason and learned a thing or two.

13:33 - Now that we've had a day to let it simmer and process...let's revisit Calvin Booth's interview about the fallout between him and Malone. Specifically, the comment about how he made his job "look too easy."

31:55 - Oh, by the way...a college basketball team went over 17 minutes without scoring a basket. Oh, by the way...our boy Brendan Sorsby is caught in a lawsuit about whether he did or didn't honor his contract/NIL commitments to Cincinnati before transferring. This is all gonna get worse before it gets better.

0:00 - The Nuggets beat a top opponent from the East...without Jamal Murray...and they actually played defense...and built a lead late and held onto it...and won a home game...HUH? What is this sorcery?

16:13 - No Nathan MacKinnon, no problem. The Avalanche played their first game in a century last night, and beat the Mammoth 4-2 in Utah. How about that wild goal from Parker Kelly to get the scoring started?

34:43 - CU lost another coordinator yesterday...Prime's staff continues to play musical chairs. Robert Livingston left CU, went to the Broncos, and took a "worse" job. He's lower on the totem pole now relative to (heh) his old job. What's going on in Boulder, man?

0:00 - After trading Sam Girard, the Avs have a good $8.7 million in cap space to play around with. Knowing Chris MacFarland and how much he enjoys shuffling the deck, we don't think he's done. The NHL trade deadline is a little over a week away. Things could get interesting.

13:49 - Tonight, the Avalanche are back in action for the first time in almost a month. The Nuggets have a game tonight too, which means it's time for a Double Keys to the Game aka a Double Keys-A-Roo.
After that, former Nuggets GM Calvin Booth went on Kevin O'Connor's podcast and finally shared his side of the story. His side of the infamous Malone/Booth fallout that resulted in them both getting fired last year 3 games before the playoffs. His perspective is...interesting, to say the least.

32:27 - Brett Kane's alma mater almost fell through the center of the earth, and now Kaner has a new nickname.

0:00 - After a (much deserved) 3-week hiatus, Jared Bednar joined us again today! We asked him about the Sam Girard trade, the Olympic break, and the thrilling Gold Medal Match between USA and Canada that featured like half of his Avalanche roster (at least that's what it felt like). 

19:57 - Broncos OC Davis Webb will now call the plays on offense. What changes can he/should he make? What do we want to see him try? It's not like he's stepping into a dumpster fire. He has an AFC Championship-caliber team to work with and play around with.

34:07 - Oh, by the way...we don't need to use so called "robot umps" to challenge balls and strikes that are a millimeter outside of the strike zone. Oh, by the way...a youth hockey game in Minnesota went to 12 overtimes and STILL wasn't finished.

0:00 - Yesterday at the NFL Combine, Sean Payton announced that Broncos Offensive Coordinator Davis Webb will be calling plays next year. Wow...it finally happened! Good for Davis. Sean's presser felt very open and honest. A tiny bit of Snarky Sean escaped when he was asked about Bo Nix and Predisposed AnkleGate 2K26 (where were you?), but aside from that, it felt like a very natural conversation about this changing of the guard.

16:01 - Happy Trails, Sammy G! La Tornade is now touching down in Pittsburgh, PA with the Penguins. Two things can be true. Thing one: Brett's been the biggest defender of Sammy G there is. Poor guy has caught TONS of unnecessary arrows over the years, and he's made a big impact on his team. Thing two: it was time to move on. This trade will be better for everyone involved in the long run. 

33:27 - Kaner doesn't think the Avs are done wheeling and dealing yet. Trading Sammy G freed up a good chunk of cap space, so he thinks other moves are on the horizon. 
After that, Broncos fans are over the moon about Davis Webb taking over offensive playcalling! They're acting like the Broncos offense will suddenly turn into that prolific 2013 offense overnight. It's good that everyone has complete faith! But maybe ease off the gas a bit. We have no idea how Davis Webb truly will look as a playcaller.

0:00 - Some people have said losing in the gold medal game will make Nate, Cale, and Toews even hungrier to bring Lord Stanley back to Denver. Really? Is that really the case? Do Nate & Cale want to win the Cup more now because they didn't win a gold medal?

Oh, by the way, the field is set for the NCAA Rifle Championship tournament coming up next month. And the competing teams are exactly who you'd expect.
