Success isn't just about where you're going. It's about whether you can actually live with the life you're building along the way.
In this episode of Art of Pursuit, we continue the conversation about success by looking at what happens after you start pursuing it. Our goals don't exist in a vacuum. They have to fit within our time, energy, relationships, responsibilities, and the realities of the lives we're actually living.
We talk through the lessons we've learned from discovering our limitations, setting boundaries, solving problems creatively, and finding a balance between work and personal life. We also explore the tension between the vision we have for our lives and the reality required to make that vision possible.
The more we pursue the things we want, the more we have to learn how to adapt. Sometimes the dream changes. Sometimes the plan changes. Sometimes the definition of success itself has to change.
The goal isn't to stop pursuing success. It's to create a version of success that you can actually live.

We spent years treating creativity, business, and spirituality as separate parts of our lives until we realized they were all connected.
In this episode, Tyler and Steve explore the missing piece that began bringing those worlds together. We talk about the ways we struggled to balance creative expression with making a living, the role spirituality has played in how we understand our work, and the personal growth that came from finally seeing those things as part of the same journey.
We share stories from the periods when creativity felt disconnected from business, when building a career came at the expense of creating, and when we struggled to understand how our personal beliefs fit into the work we were doing. Over time, those experiences helped us develop a different perspective on what it means to build a creative life.
For us, creativity isn't separate from business, and business doesn't have to be separate from purpose. When those pieces began to make sense together, we started creating opportunities that actually felt aligned with who we were.
This is DoomForged, where we create meaning from the chaos around us. The world may be burning, but we are still building.

Every creative has abandoned an idea too early. This is the story of the one that almost never saw the light of day for reasons you might not expect.
Today’s episode pulls all the insecurities out and gets down into the real meat and potatoes here at Behind The Mask. See, we get in our heads daily trying to create the perfect replica of what we see in our head, not understanding that for it to come to reality, we need to let it work its way out.
Sometimes the best way for that to happen is to allow someone the opportunity to give an unseen and maybe recently unthought view or perspective.
In this case, it’s Lyrizone explaining his situation when he needed a fresh new eyes and ears on his material and learning by just giving it room to breathe and be interpreted by someone else, not only was it able to fully come into the songs full release, he found new appreciation in letting go of the creative reins that held him in a “my way or highway” mindset for so long.
Some songs don’t fail simply because they’re written badly. They fail because we never let them become what they were supposed to be by taking a step back.

Success looks different when you ask three people who built very different lives.
In the first episode of Art of Pursuit, we sit down as three lifelong friends and talk about what success actually means to us. From building creative businesses and brands, to running a photography business, to operating a convenience store, bakery, and gas station, our paths look very different. So does the way we measure success.
For Dave, success through DL Media has taken the form of building a photography business around work he cares about. Jacob's experience running RJR has given him a completely different perspective on business, responsibility, and what it means to keep an operation moving. And through Tyler’s own creative and business work, he had to figure out what success looks like when the goal is to build something that feels meaningful.
But when we zoom out, the conversation becomes less about business and more about life. Success can mean growing a company, creating something you're proud of, having the freedom to work on what matters to you, or simply waking up happy with the life you've built.
There isn't one version of success worth chasing. The more important question is whether you've taken the time to define what success actually means to you.

What started as a clothing brand became the beginning of something neither of us expected.
DoomForged began as an apparel design collaboration between Tyler and Steve, two artists separated by thousands of miles who came together through the shared challenge of building a brand. What started as a business quickly became something much deeper.
In this first episode, we go back to the beginning and explore how we met, why we started building together, and the experiences that shaped the way we approach creativity, business, and life in general. From design and entrepreneurship to spirituality and personal growth, we unpack the unlikely connections that brought us together.
The more we built, the more we realized that the value wasn't only in what we were creating. It was in the conversations, challenges, and perspectives we were discovering along the way.
This is DoomForged, where we create meaning from the chaos around us. The world may be burning, but we are still building.

It’s always easy to play the blame game, but understanding who really makes the real impactful call is key, regardless of what we like to tell ourselves.
Welcome everyone! We are here to give you an inside peek into the inner mechanics and unfiltered, raw and honest side of the creative industry in today’s episode that highlights the simple but unresolved concept of good vs. evil.
Join us as we unravel the reasons why we act the way we do and potentially who we affect by being our truest selves and understanding that sometimes the antihero that we need to be is EXACTLY what the situation calls for.
We discuss Lyrizone’s latest release ‘VILLAINIZE’ and try to put together this intricate puzzle of cause and effect both as someone writing a story to someone trying to maybe read more into it and seeing what lessons they can decipher out of it.
You never know what you might find for yourself here, YOU might be the sole reason the best version of yourself hasn’t come full circle yet…
