He has seen us through building projects, capital campaigns, declines in membership and growth.  He’s seen us through the leadership of 12 (and counting) pastors, 4 staff ministers, and countless councilmen and elders.   He’s blessed families and individuals and our church family as a whole.  Thank God for the blessing that Grace Church is and rejoice that here,  and in so many places like it, God’s name is glorified and the good news of salvation through Jesus is proclaimed!   God is good!!   Join us in celebrating “God’s Grace at Grace!”

Built in 1900, the structure that you know of as Grace Lutheran Church on the corner of Juneau and Broadway has been a mainstay in the downtown Milwaukee community.  The group of German Christians that called this congregation their home brought God glory in the building of 2 churches – one dedicated in 1851 and the current structure to replace it, dedicated in 1901!  These churches were built to God’s glory and became a place where God’s glory is proclaimed and has been for a collective 170 years.  Listen to this first in the series episode to learn about and further appreciate the unique blessing that the church building is to the ministry here.  Join in and learn about “God’s Grace at Grace”

The Church guards the faith of others.

Jesus calls his people to reach out to the world. He also calls us to approach people we know, even brothers and sisters, who are giving in to sin and risking unbelief. This is "mission work" at its hardest.

Prayer:

O Lord Jesus Christ, preserve the congregation of believers with your never-failing mercy. Help us avoid whatever is wicked and harmful, and guide us in the way that leads to our salvation; for you live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen

The Church lives under the cross.

Following Jesus brings countless blessings, but among them are not leisure and freedom from trouble. As believers carry out their work as the Church, they can expect opposition and hardship. Carrying a cross often identifies a person as a Christian.

Prayer:

O God, you have called your servants to ventures of faith of which we cannot see the ending, by paths as yet untrodden, through perils unknown. Give us faith to go out with good courage, not knowing where we go, but only that your hand is leading us and your love supporting us; through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Revelation is one of the most discussed and most misunderstood books in the whole Bible.  While the pastors at Grace don’t have all the answers for you, I think you’ll benefit from listening to this podcast and being shown some of the glory of this unique book of Scripture.  Through its sights and symbols and visions, God reveals to John and to us one glorious and simple truth!  JESUS WINS!!  So read this glorious book and enjoy this only slightly less glorious discussion of the book of Revelation!
