Fun Story about Dragons and making new friends
What a cute story! It involves a young girl and her Dad, visiting family in Scotland, so you get a splash of Scottish culture and folklore mixed in. The story unfolds with a surprising twist as Amy learns of a dragon, Argyle. Without giving away the ending, you should read this book to find out what happens for yourself! Well-written with nice illustrations, this book is fun to read with the whole family. It gives you a small taste of a different culture, as well as teaches you to be open to making new friends.
"There certainly are dragons lassie!"
There is a girl named Amy who travels to Scotland with her Dad to meet their Scottish relatives. Little does she know that they keep a dragon locked up somewhere in the castle. One thing leads to another, and the dragon was not what Amy thought it would be.
This is a great story about how people who might seem scary at first may not be as scary as you think. As they say, you can't judge a book by it's cover. Your kids will definitely learn some great moral lessons from this book. 5 stars!
Delightful story for children
I'm an adult and I really liked this story. It is well written and the pictures are very nice. I have grandchildren of different ages and what I liked best about this story is that I could read to the young ones who can't read. They could understand it and enjoy the pictures. But, the older kids who can read liked it just as well. This isn't just for little kids, almost anyone can read this and enjoy it. I look forward to getting other books from this author.
Terrific Tale of Dragons and Magic
This was lovely story that was well written and full of surprises. My children both enjoyed it (ages 7 and 5). And the chapters were short enough to keep the story engaged but not drag out.
My kids also loved the pictures which just added to the appeal. I thought they were really well done and quite cute.
I also loved the family in the story. Great tale, especially for kids who are wild for dragons. They'll love it.
A Very Clever Story About A Dragon and a Girl
I love this children's book! Just when the story gets a little worrisome and intense, something very interesting happens. Cute pictures and a really good story. There are no such things as dragons. Or, are there?
