Absolutely in love with the whole series

What made the experience of listening to Here Without You the most enjoyable?

The dialogue and the narrators. I've had the book on my kindle for weeks and have been reading it in my spare time. I finally got the audio book and couldn't stop listening. The way Kate would put a slight southern accent in her voice and by it you knew Brooke was upset is so impressive.

What other book might you compare Here Without You to and why?

The other Tammara Webber books (Between the Line Series, Easy), K.A. Tucker books (Ten Tiny Breaths, One Tiny Lie), or Jessica Park's, Flat Out Love.

What does Todd Haberkorn and Kate Rudd bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

They were awesome. I like Kate's male characters more then Todd's female characters but they are wonderful at what they do. Todd even handled the voice of a child well. Both narrators gave good distinction between the character's voices and I knew who was talking even if it wasn't clearly delineated. As I stated before, the way Kate would put a slight southern accent in her voice; and, by it, you knew Brooke was upset was so impressive.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Tammara Webber's descriptive phrasing. She is so good at what she does and helps me to really empathize with the characters.

Loved all 4 books! The characters you thought had no redeeming qualities in the prior books show you that you have to walk a mile in their shoes before passing judgement.

Will read anything else Tammara Webber writes.

Awe ... Perfect Ending

I really enjoyed this book... It completed the series perfectly. Reed, Dori and Brooke's story lines are so incredibly well written and the ending made me cry happy tears! I will miss these characters. So, if you are a fan of the Between the Lines series, this book is a must!

Loved it!

Couldn't put it down. I did enjoy this series but to say it's better than 50 Shades is another thing. I think that all writers copy from those books trying to make their /stories better. There's always a billionaire and a weak woman which we all love. I didn't like Pearl as I thought she was annoying/ going back and forth. But when they are together there is alot of heat and you can feel that between them. The writing was very good and I liked that they weren't really into BDSM which is why it makes it so real. Enjoy as the series is worth the read.

Loved this Trilogy!

I have read a lot of Trilogies and most of them I feel is just a way of the author to make more money. Most have a good first book, the second book is interesting and then they loose the plot in the third book. Not with this book! I loved the first book and had to read the second and then bought the third immediately after reading the second and love it! I could not stop reading, my husband, kids, work, all had to wait! I had to read the story! The plot keeps on changing and makes for a real interesting read. Yes the sex gets to become a bit predictable but you still can feel the love and understand their frustration in not being able to do more. Read this book! I think you will not be wasting your time!

It just keeps getting better!

Such a lovely conclusion to the Pearl trilogy. The love story between Alexandre and Pearl continues with the promise of a baby, and a magically, fantastic, happy-ever-after!

But the plot turns twisty and tumultuous with Alexandre's difficult past coming back to haunt him. This is another one of those serials you just can't put down, because you need to find out how it all works out, and if everyone makes it out alright!

I highly recommend this series. It has a little bit of everything - world travel, good sex, pink champagne, a charming BFF, cute kid and dog stories, suspense and a swoon-worthy romance.

Aaaand, I'm off to the next in the series, with Alexandre's POV! <3

WOW! What a conclusion!

Waited for this book and was not let down. This was a wonderful read!

Pearl (the heroine) has been through so much in this relationship with Alexandre ... who can she trust? Who is not lying? Who is really trying to hurt her? How can she get their relationship back on track?

I loved how the author worked out the plot line.

Must read 40 Shades of Pearl and Shadows of Pearl before attempting this book. Start early in the day... you will not want to put them down until the end.

Pretty Awful

What would have made Dancing with Paris better?

The writing is weak and repetitive (I get it, the croissants are buttery). I question the author's research. How did this get published? I'm glad I only paid $4.95.

Has Dancing with Paris turned you off from other books in this genre?

No, not at all. But I will avoid this author in the future.

The narrator was fine, not the very best I've heard but certainly not the worst, either.

What character would you cut from Dancing with Paris?

There wasn't one specific problematic character. The trouble with the story is the writing.

Not awful, for a fantasy, time travel piece

I didn't expect much from this, with the time travel element added to the fantasy, but it wasn't bad. Kind of a combination of Alice in Wonderland, Cinderella, and The Wizard of Oz--even down to the ruby red shoes. It gets into a bit of trouble with the ending resolution (do babies en vitro time travel too?), but somewhat entertaining if you get it inexpensively.

Dreadful

I read glowing reviews of this book and was excited to listen to a time traveling story set in Paris.

The concept is really good, in my opinion, but the writing is weak, the narrating terrible, even the sound quality of the recording is poor.

I would like to think that anyone setting a book in Paris in 1959 would have done enough research to know not to describe the men as wearing bowlers, the women wearing pantyhose (while invented in 1959 they weren't generally worn til the mid-60s)

In addition, there are smatterings of French thrown in - the main character describes a perfect French accent, but the narrator has clearly never heard one.

I only made it an hour and a half in and threw my hands up in frustration.

Time Travel

What did you love best about Dancing with Paris?

I am such a sucker for time travel. This was not a great book but it was enjoyable and very relaxing. I listen to books when I paint or clean the house or drive and this book is good for that.

A good story

It's hard to review this book as the concept was one that I thought very good. I guess my issue is with the repetitiveness of some parts .... to a point where I wished someone would shoot her .... and with the melodramatic narration at times. However, I persevered and listened right to the end to see how it all turned out.

Great beginning to a series....I hope!

This is a historical western romance novel just in case that is an issue for anyone. It wasn't for me but I missed that info at the time of purchase. The story was good. A couple of twists and turns keeps you guessing and all the characters were very likable.

Cole's Story is the first in what I assume will be a series. He is the youngest of seven brothers. All totally hot and I can't wait to meet them.

I'm getting to where I do more research on the narrator because that is such a huge factor in how I feel about the characters. The story can be great and have strong characters but if the narrator stinks and makes them sound horrible then its really hard to get past it. That said, Troy Duran is AWESOME!!!!!! He makes the big studly cowboys come to life and all the secondary characters become exactly who they need to be. He also does a great job with his female characters. Everyone was very believable and paired with a good story makes this a really good book.

I will definitely buy the rest of the series especially is Duran continues to be the narrator.

Good story. Christian based. Clean; suspenseful.

An excellent listen.

I downloaded this book with some trepidation since the author was new to me. I'm glad I took the chance. I truly enjoyed the listen and headed straight back to Audible to look for additons to the series. If you enjoy historic western romance this is a 'must have'. I can't wait for the next in the series and have queued Keli Ann Morgan as an author I'm going follow.

Not your typical twists. Not your typical book. This author has penned this book well. The characters have self esteem issues, and are not over the top on self pity either. I look forward to getting the rest of the Redbourne Series.

mediocre at best

repetition is good when practicing piano but not when writing a novel. the first half was agonizing to hear the female lead lamenting her lost "like." Not a love-- she didn't want to marry him. only at the end did the story move briskly enough to engage me, ending by getting tied up in a sad but tidy bow. I also thought the narrator made the male lead sound like a cardboard characterized cop with too much anger. just my two cents...

It exceeded my expectations. Narrator could be a little less monotone. Most memorable was when father and daughter reunited and I always love a happy ending.

Great conclusion to the trilogy!

The narration was excellent! Reid's character transformation from the first book in this trilogy to the ending of Good For You was amazing. This is a feel good story for fans of teen romance.

Beyond Satisfying

I didn't think it possible to fall in love with Reid Alexander but did I ever. It is safe to say I loved these two more then all of the other characters combined. I know right?!

There was some surprisingly great character development that will leave you pondering life and love well after the book is done.

Favorite quote of the book is as follows, "There is no way I'm not satisfying her." HOLY CRAP!

You're gonna love it.

This is first person.

I felt like I was reading the diary of a whiny teenager. I want him to kiss me, I mustnt let him. After he kisses her she refuses to let a repeat happen. She accepts a date and then says to herself What have I done? After they fall for each other she breaks up with him because she fears shell be hurt in the future. She fears it wont last. This is how most of the book felt to me. This is New Adult. A lot of readers like this kind of thing. Its mostly emotional angst. I want plot, or more interesting characters. During the last half, I wanted it to be over. It felt too long.

The characters are typical normal sounding 18 and 19 year olds. Dori is into social work and doing good. I pictured Reid similar to a young Brad Pitt movie star. He is into partying, drinking, drunk driving, and lots of sex. Then he falls for good girl Dori and changes. This can be a good story if theres emotion and passion building up and Im really pulled in. But here I was not connected. I felt like I was reading someones diary and losing interest.

There is a happy ending, therefore its romance. The story of this couple continues in the sequel Here Without You, but I was not interested in continuing. I did enjoy the book Easy by this author.

The narrator Kate Rudd was good. Todd Haberkorn was ok as Reid, but somehow it was not sexy for me.

This was a very enjoyable read. I liked that there was much more interaction amongst the siblings than with the first book. It had a little suspense, comedy, and romance. I look forward to reading the next in the series.

A decent read..

I really wasn't going to buy any more of this series after reading book 1 but I decided to get this one anyway because it had better reviews than The Doctor Wears A Stetson. Over all it was just like the first one with Dallas wanting Gillian so fiercely, just like Cameron wanted Jessie in the first book. Both brothers refused to admit to falling in love and saw what they felt as just lust. So, I'm going to assume that the other two brothers' books are going to be exactly the same. Therefore, I will not be buying anymore of this series. There's really no excitement in these book, just a whole lot of angst and lust.

As to the narrator: She did a really good job on the voices. No emotion but still she did a good job. I would listen to her again. There are a couple of narrators who read the books and when it calls for a laugh the narrator actually laughs. I love those kind of narrators. The ones who whisper, murmur, sigh, sound angry, etc.

Story OK, Narrator NOT

I had mixed feelings about this book. I almost stopped listening, when the story line became a repeat of 3 different books I'd read recently. It did twist out of the expected outcome and saved my feelings about the book. The narrator, however, almost put me to sleep. Her voice would have better suited a bedtime story!

Skip this one...

This book was disappointing. I felt like I've read this same book a few times before. But in this case the dialogue was un realistic and the characters were not well developed. The whole one night stand and dream girl thing didn't do it for me. This was almost a young adult book. There is only a mention of the couple having sex towards the end of the book but zero description. It was boring and un romantic. On top of that the narration was TERRIBLE!! Abby Craden whispers too much, she made Max's sisters all sound like children. All secondary female characters sounded either drugged or too young. Only the last hour of this book was mildly interesting. Total disappointment!!

PS- if you like the blurb (the storyline) I highly recommend you listen to Simply Irresistible by Rachel Gibson. It's very similar to this book in terms of the storyline but it's a gazzillion times better.

Pro Athlete + Unknown Offspring = Another Book

This was a light breezy piece of fluff. Even when it touches serious subjects - a teenager learning who her father is and that her mother had lied - it is still fluffy. And the initial meeting that resulted in the daughter was never really explained. It seemed totally implausible. But it was readable and an easy way to relax and pass a few hours.

This book did bring renewed focus to an epidemic that, if you read many chick lit books you are well aware of, the sheer number of professional athletes who unknowingly father children during brief one night stands, don't discover they fathered the child until the child is at least 5 or 6 years old or older, and then, at the point they discover the existence of the unknown offspring they discover that the one night stand is also the love of their life, Too bad they didn't figure that out sooner. I can list at least 5 or 6 books with the exact same story line. Some tell it better than this book.

A beautiful haunting love triangle but......

Firstly let me say, as the title of the book suggests 'Sharing' Hailey, this is an Adult Only book and, in my opinion, should have been put in the Erotica section.

Now, that said, I thought this was a touching love story about Hailey who loves 2 handsome sexy men Mark and Tony but she has known them all her life as they are her brother's best friends and she doesn't want to complicate things or lose their friendship. Then the lucky girl finds out that they are both interested in her too but the only problem is her ex boyfriend has other plans. There was lots of hot sex scenes but they were touching and romantic and well placed in the story.

Worth my credit? Absolutely Yes - but there's a big BUT - if you don't like the steamy sexy romance novels then this isn't for you.

Not what I expected....

You'd think by the cover and blurb that you'd be looking at something in the erotica category but honestly it could have been more raunchy.

More of a good romance with some really good intimate scenes, not even close to the dark side as it could have been. Definitely won't raise a decent blush while one is on public transport.

The title says it all!

This is an erotica romance about two men who want to "share" the object of their affection (Hailey). If you can suspend your disbelief that this scenario would ever really play out (if only it were true!) then you will enjoy this book. It has YUMMY sex scenes but very little substance. There is a plot, but it's weak. Actually, who really cares....it's a fun read. Just know what you are getting yourself into.

Would probably listen to it again. Although there is so much out there to listen to. I would look for another book by Samantha Ann King to listen to
