    Honor
Short but sweet. I liked the fake out at the end & that the story didn't wrap up all their problems with a bow. Romances often smooth out all issues in the last two pages & I respect that the author didn't do that here.
    I Love Military Romances
Elle James has written an outstanding military romance. Her characters are embroiled in gut wrenching action and suspense and still have opportunities to fall in love. Gotta love it!
    Good military romance
I enjoyed this audiobook very much. The characters of Tuck and Delaney were such a firey match. Highly recommend this book.
    Awesome story!
    4.5 *'s
Talk about an awesome story. Love love loved it! I can't wait to continue on in this series!
Predictable, but not bad for the price
    Any additional comments?
The setting and story were fairly interesting. I love romance, but the battle scenes and descriptions of the gear, tactics, and situations in Afganistan were probably the most interesting. You can only read so many romance novels set in a big city office, or a small town. This was refreshing in that way. It was just too short, a little more character development would have done wonders for this story. It seemed like the main characters met and hung out a few times and suddenly were in love. There was just not enough time to let anything real develop. The ending was predictable yet surprising at the same time. If I could I'd give it 3.5 stars, but since I can't 3 stars!

    Skip this one...
I really wanted to like this book and I DID stick with it until the end, however, it left a lot to be desired...
This is my first Vi Keeland read/listen and I've heard good things about her books so I was disappointed to find a very simple storyline, lack of depth in characters, and poor narration from the female narrator in particular.
Without giving any spoilers, I'll address my gripes:
    1) The story had a lot of potential but the author fell short of giving the detail that could have made these characters really come to life. Vince, the male protagonist, had a lot of "issues" in his past (and present) but they were mostly glossed over with sparse detail. I think Keeland was attempting to create a sense of anticipation but there was no big reveal that I would call satisfying after drawing out my curiosity. I did not listen to the first book in the series (because the reviews talk about how bad the male narrator's performance was in attempting the Italian accent of Nico), so I can leave a little room for incontinuity since Vince may have appeared in the previous book.
    2) Normally, I can overlook a lot of missing depth in trade for hot sex in my romance novels - but this book just didn't do it for me in the heat department. There were a few sex scenes that were good, but again, so many missed opportunities in the story department.
    3) I will not listen to Tatiana Sokolov narrate a book again. Her voice isn't unpleasant, but her inflection did not match the emotion of the characters. It reminded me of a news anchor reading from a prompter, describing a tragic accident with a smile on her face. She also has a midwestern accent, so if that's not your thing then definitely skip this book. The male narrator wasn't offensive, but he wasn't great either.
All to say, it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't good in my opinion.
    LOVING THIS SERIES!!!!!
I love this series!! It has turmoil, love , romance, heartache and everything in between. Alpha males and strong/fragile female characters. I like that the characters from the first book are in the second book. The narrators did an excellent job!!
    Soso addition to the series
    2.5-3 stars
***fair warning, this review has a few small spoilers but nothing major***
This was an alright story. TBH, I was enjoying it at first but the ending wasn't to my liking and really brought down the story for me.
Liv is an intern at a newspaper that she's hoping to get a permanent job at.

    Almost drop the ball..
Man! Ok.... in the beginning of the book, which is book 2 of the Mastered Series... I was totally making sure I was reading book 2 from the Mastered Series... b/c it started so boring compared to the ending of book 1.
Ronin was all beat and broken from Amery leaving him...but still... it was just eh...
The secondary characters really carried the story along while Ronin got himself together...
Now after Amery and Ronin get back together... the whole Amery is the dom and Ronin the sub...OK... I just didn't like that whole set up... WTF! I get it...why Amery wanted it...but IDK...I just didn't like it...
Maybe it was the narration of this book...but let me tell you... compared to book 1, Ronin was kinda a much weaker character... and Amery came off as a B... half the time...
After saying all of that... This was a good book...which really needs to be read to finish the Ronin and Amery story.. I really think it was the narration, as most of this book was told from Ronin's POV... hence the male narrator... I still preferred the female narrator of book 1 to Daniels... although Daniels wasn't a bad narrator... he just didn't do the same Ronin from book 1... so it was a bit off. The dominance just wasn't on the same level...
Credit this... for price and overall satisfaction...
    Not In Love
Is there anything you would change about this book?
I felt like the first book flowed much better than the 2nd book. I kept waiting for something exciting to happen but nothing came.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
I didn't connect with the characters in this book and I was really looking forward to seeing how their story worked out. The way the couple get back together didn't flow with the ending in book 1. What happened to the Amery I fell in love with?
How did the narrator detract from the book?
I really wish they had used the same narrators as in the first book. The female vocals left a lot to be desired for me and killed some of the book for me.
Do you think Unwound needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
    No
HAD ME IN KNOTS! EXCELLENT SEQUEL!!!
This book should not be read as a stand alone, as it continues exactly where book 1 ends.
    Awe..

    Past experience colours future actions
Would you try another book from Carly Phillips and/or Sophie Eastlake?
With Sophie as narrator, I would definitely try another another book with her as narrator. Her impressive vocal talent is really remarkable and it totally made the book that much more enjoyable. You go girl!
Would you be willing to try another book from Carly Phillips? Why or why not?
I may, but the overly hot sex scenes are really not my forte. But I will see how the next one goes.
Which character as performed by Sophie Eastlake was your favorite?
Ian is my favourite character in the book but I loved the depiction of Riley's persona by Sophie. Her dramatics were so evocative and really well done. All in all, it's difficult to choose between them as they are both favorites.
    Any additional comments?
This is a really compelling story about two people who are bound by past experiences, and find the comfort and strength in each other, to move forward. To be free of everything that has held them back.
I'm not in to very graphic sexual content, so it was off putting, to some extent. However it was a great listening experience as Sophie Eastlake is a great narrator. Thanks for your vibrant story telling as the story line was very insightful of the nuances of past experiences that colour and form present behaviour patterns.
Looking forward to your other books.
    A very average listen
    Any additional comments?
Ian is a dirty man. He likes control and he likes to play with Riley. He is also possessive of her time and attention and demands everything from her. He wants her to rely on him instead of her best friend Alex, Ian's half brother, and this is the biggest source of their trouble. Riley comes from an abusive background and Alex has proven himself to be the one she can trust. If Riley cant find a way to trust Ian the way she does with Alex then their relationship isn't going to go far.
As a couple, they were well matched in stubbornness and complexity but this was a very average listen for me.

What did you love best about Someone Like You?
Written with a great sense of humor
    Any additional comments?
This was a fun book, great story. I really enjoyed the bad boy Morgan and how he works to win Ally over and their relationship.
    Worst stripper ever.
What did you love best about Someone Like You?
This was worth the credit and a great read, I felt like I stepped back in time especially the writing was really good and funny. The story was not what I was expecting and I'm looking forward to additional books.
Entertaining and Predictable! Still love it!
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, it was a very cute love story
Who was your favorite character and why?
Morgan, hot and sexy guy that didn't used girls. He had a very sensitive side and loving/caring.
What does Luke Daniels and Kate Rudd bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
Kate should have only narrated this book only. She has a great voice to male and female. Luke sounded too old for Morgan.
Note: When considering narrators for these books, you MUST consider the age the characters. That's what makes a good listening story.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
It was okay to break up the book into 2 parts.
    Great Young adult romance
I lover it. I especially loved hearing both POV. Very sweet story with a HEA.
    Spectacular!
The mixture of short-story accounts, chapter after chapter, embraces the understanding of how the plot evolves, while the main message behind this story is this: Relationships are better, when you learn something; not when you take things for granted. Inspirational!

    It's ok
This was not one of Maya Banks Awesomeness stories... It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either... Simply ok. I enjoyed the overall story...but it was too long in places, boring in others...
Narration was actually pretty good..but the story just was so... (get to the point already) feeling...that it could have been read by the best of the best narrators....and that still wouldn't have helped it.
This is worth a sale... not really a credit or buy...
    He doesn't deserve her!
I thought at first that the hero of this story was such a selfish total jerk! The heroine is a sparkling, innocent and joyful woman that he's bribed into marrying by her father in exchange for a lucrative business deal. She doesn't know, which makes his deception even worse. This audiobook was entertaining and full of emotion. I really felt for the heroine and then toward the end I warmed up to the hero. Narration was well done.
    Romantic
Devon and Ashley , great love and forgiveness, finding love , knowing true love! Was as good as first..
    Good

    Just Okay
What did you love best about Wanted?
I have enjoyed J Kenners previous books far better than this. Little to no character development and relationship between Lena and Evan was weak.
Would you be willing to try another book from J. Kenner? Why or why not?
Yes, because of the previous books I've read.
What didnt you like about Saffron Martindales performance?
Lisp, Lisp, Lisp!!!!!!! When you have a steamy male character and he lisps, well it just doesn't do it for me,
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
    No
    Very Disapointed
I am a fan of J Kenner but I had to listen to the first chapters a couple times to understand what was going on and after an hour into the book I finally give up. I cannot connect to this book at all. I feel like the book is all over the place.
    "Wanted" more! Expected more
What did you like about this audiobook?
I didn't care for this book very much. When I saw J Kenner's name I jumped at the new entry especially sinceEvan Black, who was mentioned only briefly in " Take Me" the wrap up to the Stark series peaked my enterest. But this book lacks the fire of the Stark series. I'm at chapter 15 and still no fire. I'm not giving up on J Kenner, I'll wait for the next book.
How has the book increased your interest in the subject matter?
I'm still trying to find the subject matter
Does the author present information in a way that is interesting and insightful, and if so, how does he achieve this?
No, not like the last books I read from this author. I had such high hopes that were dashed quickly
What did you find wrong about the narrator's performance?
The narator was great just not a very good story. I will watch for this narrator to perform other works
Do you have any additional comments?
As I said earlier I love this writer this was just what I expected I will continue to watch for other project from J Kenner
    Hot, steamy and sexy!!!
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
    Yes
Who was your favorite character and why?
    Lina and Evan
    Any additional comments?
What's a great start of a new series. I enjoyed this book. I love a strong female lead and an awesome male lead to drool over. This book introduced us to The Knights - 3 powerful and enigmatic men, Evan, Tyler and Cole. This is about Evan and Lina. Two tortured souls that found each other. Lina loved Evan from the moment she saw him. Evan felt the same but he promised her uncle,John that he would not pursuit Lina. These two finally got together after John died. I love their story and how their love prevail.
This book has twists, sweet, unpredictable and fun to read. Most of all, it's hot, streamy and sexy.

    sweet hockey romance
This is the FIRST book in the Assassins series. For most of the book there was really no conflict, just a budding romance between two very different people. It was simply a love story between a successful woman, Elli, who is loaded with insecurities, and a professional athlete, Shea, who is so amazing.Shea is the captain of the Assassins hockey team in Nashville. The heroine Ellie is sweet, funny, smart, and a incredibly successful photographer. She is also a young southern lady who has insecurity issues. Elli Fisher has been hurt, emotionally and physically, by former loves and her family. After overcoming a medical issues, she stood on her own for so long that she doesn't quite know how to trust others. Shea meets Elli at a team photo shoot where she is the photographer. He gets her to do the photography at party of his and things start to progress from there. This book has it all. Laughter, sexy time, drama, heartache and love. Shea the sexy, sensitive, tattooed hockey player for the Assassins wears geek glasses is muscled, funny, sweet, jealous, possessive and becomes totally in love &devoted to Elli. And Sheas absolutely adorable with his twin sister, Grace, and her family. I thought Shea and Elli were so sweet together. However, Elli's excessive doubts throughout the chapters were the only qualms I had with the book, everything else was good. I did appreciate the slow building romance. These two characters did not just meet, had insta-love and lived happily ever after. Oh no, you got to see a build of a fantastic and realistic love. All in all, the book was entertaining and if you enjoy hot hockey players, I recommend it.
    Whine on Ice
Hot hockey guy falls for insecure babe. OK, I actually like most of the book and found Ellie's insecurities believable. However, in order to throw the final monkey wrench into the plot, the heroine suddenly believes people who have always lied to her, characters who were always straight shooters suddenly beat around the bush, and people stop talking to each other for no real reason except to further the anxiety of our hero & heroine. The last couple of hours of the book ruined what I had previously enjoyed. Too bad.
    Female Lead is Beyond Annoying
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
Probably not. The female lead character, Elli, drove me nuts. I can't think of another female character in all of literature who is more of a spineless twit.

    It had great potential...
Would you try another book from Wendy Markham and/or Justine Eyre?
    No.
What could Wendy Markham have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
The book was slow getting into it and then I found the sexual content too graphic.
What didnt you like about Justine Eyres performance?
Her voice drove me crazy. She has an angry sound, like she's reading through gritted teeth. I found the characters whiny and annoying when I was listening, so I switched to reading.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
I was a little bored at the beginning...I was annoyed by the characters when I was listening, and I was disappointed by the sex scene. It was out of place, especially in 1941.
    No story+bad narrator=no go
I have read many time travel novels so the concept was n of new to me. This was executed so poorly that the outcomes and steps are not realistic even for someone that is ready and prepared to suspend belief. We are expected to believe that she can change so quickly. Do not do it. Walk away.
What makes matters worse is the narrator. She sounds like she had a bad case of laryngitis.

When reporter Janice McCarty left the small town of Sonesville after graduating high school, she vowed never to return. A late night phone call eight years later and she has no choice but to go back to lay her mother to rest.
Feeling out of place in the town she once called home, and adamant about returning to the big city as soon as possible, Janice's life is further complicated by former football star, Troy Kepner, who seems to show up every time she needs a knight in shining armor. Like her, Troy knows what it's like to have big dreams. He sacrificed everything to run the family farm after his dad died. Now he's got his sights set on the girl who got away.
And just when she thought it couldn't get any more complicated, her mother's restless spirit leads Janice down a path she swore she'd never take, and Chandra McCarty's ghost has no intention of letting go until her daughter finally sees she's more than just a byline, and home is where the heart is.

    Could not stop listening!
The narrator (Sarah Pavelec) did a wonderful job voicing all the different characters, each character was distinctive and I really enjoyed hearing them all come to life. Sarah's voice captured every expression perfectly and I look forward to listening to more of her books. The story itself was great, it had so many different elements, romance, re developing friendships, the mentality that you can always go home again, and even mystical elements and Jennifer tied it together very nicely. I really felt I knew these characters by the end and would love for their story to continue. Great job by author and narrator!
    Heart and Home
What made the experience of listening to Heart and Home the most enjoyable?
Okay, here we go.... Yes, I knew this book was well outside of my genre when I bought it, and No, I normally dont read romance. With that said, every once in a while I will read something that I normally wouldnt, and each time I do I find myself pleasantly surprised by not only the story, but the writing as well. Jennifers Heart and Home was no exception. Now Im not saying it made me want to read more romance novels, but I do have to say that Heart and Home is one well written story, that I thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish. I have this on my Kindle, but I chose to listen to the audio version when it came out. Nowadays I listen to more books than I read, and this narrator (Sarah Pavelec) rocked this book! An all around good package.
What about Sarah Pavelecs performance did you like?
Sarah was awesome, couldn't ask for a better voice for this story.
