The heroine of this book has virtually no emotion, and all the exciting bits that should have made the secret baby plot fun (namely, making the baby, her leaving, him trying to find her, etc) happened off the page. I didn't understand why she left in the first place, or why she never answered the calls that came from the rich, hot guy who gave her the best sex of her life.

And, to add to that, the whole conflict was built on the fact that if she had a boy, he'd be the future King of a defunct monarchy: 1) If the monarchy is defunct, I'm not sure why that matters, and 2) we never find out if it's a boy so what was the point of all that drama?

I really loved the story and start of this Bayou Billionaires series.

Catherine Mann and Joanne Rock are each writing two of the books in this 4 book Harlequin Desire series.

Gervais Reynaud, CEO of the Reynaud Family companies, meets Princess Erika Mitras in London and had a one night tryst that they both walked away from with very little regrets. Or so they both believe. A baby changes this.

Catherine Mann starts the information about the Reynaud Family and the unexpected feeling that Gervais and Erika must deal with as they get to know each other. I really loved the story and start of this series. This is a must read series about a interesting set of brothers and the issues they have from their childhood. I am looking forward to the rest of the Bayou Billionaires series.

A Wonderful fairytale

I've read and listened to hundreds of romance books so I rarely give five stars to any story because I have read and heard it all before. This story totally deserves five fan-freaking-tastic stars. It's just such a sweet fairytale story. The reality TV aspect was mild and it was more centered around Lemon and Dante. This story is funny, sweet, adorable and very romantic without including a single sex scene. I feel like this story is perfect for anyone who likes fairytales and believes in love.

The narration is very good too. Ms. Panfilio was able to do the southern accent very well and at the same time she did very good male voices with italian accent. This must have been challenging for her but it came out very natural. Her narration definitely added to this wonderful story.

This book is well worth a credit but it is a better deal if you buy the kindle version and add the audible book as well.

Love it--must have

I read the first book with Kat and Nico and fell in love. Purchased the second and third book with the audible version while buying the kindle book version. I love the story line of this book and the narrator did an awesome job bringing the characters to life. I found myself laughing and smiling all the way to the end. I have read many books and heard many through audible this is one of my favorites. I give it five stars all around

Absolutely adorable!

I'm not at all a reality TV type person, and in the past I've tried to enjoy novels set in reality TV shows with little success. I was willing to give this one a chance, though, because I liked the premise--and I'm so glad I did! Lemon's a great narrator, and even when the reader's practically shouting at her to dump her loser fiance and give Dante a chance already, it's impossible not to love her. Her uniquely southern voice (especially with all of her laugh out loud sayings, like "I had imagined I'd feel happier than a tick on a fat dog when I got engaged") really gave the book flavor. Throw in Prince Dante's text messages at the beginning of each chapter (the only time we hear directly from him; the story's all from Lemon's POV), and I was completely charmed.

I haven't read book one yet ( Royal Date ), but it's absolutely made it onto the short version of my TBR, because Lemon gives us enough teasers that I really want to find out Kat and Nico's story.

OFF THE CHARTS AMAZING!

I can't even begin to explain how many ways this book was everything I wanted it to be!! Suspenseful, Exciting, Loving and SERIOUSLY HOT! I couldn't put it down!

I loved that Xavier didn't use his past to bring him down, it only made him stronger. He is pissed and wants to destroy the Society to make sure no one else gets hurt by them the way he was. I love his relationship with Elaine, he is so protective of her and loves her so much that he lets her decide how their relationship will proceed.

In the beginning, Sebastian is heart broken but Elaine is helping him cope. I really loved that we get so much more of him in this book. He is very adventurous and makes sure that every one of them gets a push toward the unknown. He is so hot with his dominance, dirty talk and open sexuality. Also he's protective and a bad ass when he needs to be.

Elaine is strong but very confused in the beginning. Confused by Xavier going silent for weeks and then by the relationship developing between her and Sebastian, oh and we can't forget about Marco ;) I loved that she gets past that and just wants them all to be happy.

The sex scenes in the book are off the charts hot! The author hit every hot button I have! The last sex scene almost set the book on fire! I think having them all care so much for each other makes every kinky moment even better.

Narration:

Honestly, truly amazing narration! The final sex scene is probably the hottest scene I've ever listen to in an audiobook! The scene is great and the narration truly takes it to a new level of hot! Erin DeWard and Noah Michael Levine have a chemistry that made their storytelling so believable, seriously you would think they were the actual characters and these things were really happening to them with the way they get into the scenes. They hit the emotions and the enthusiasm perfectly in my opinion. LISTEN TO THIS BOOK!

Can't get enough of such a great thing

If you thought the first book was good, you'll LOVE book two. It was HOT HOT HOT. The plot was great. It was full of sex and also kept you on the edge of your seat at some points. I just love the characters as well. I listened to the audio book version and once again they did an excellent job narrating and really brought the story to life. Made you feel like you were part of the story.

Since book three, Loving Doctor Vincent came out I thought it was a good time to re-listen to the whole series. It's just as good as it was the first time around, if not better since you know the story gets better and better along the way.

I loved the narration. They are both great narrators and work well together. They really adds to the story and help suck you in, held me there and left me wanting more. The series is so good, it's a catch 22. I really enjoyed the series and have been waiting to read book three so badly, to finally get to the conclusion but I'll miss them all and it sucks knowing there won't be anymore Elaine, Dr.

Love the narration

I listened to Carry Me Home, the first book in Rosalind James' Paradise, Idaho series a few weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. With this second book of the series, she has totally won me over. While I found Carry Me Home quite light-hearted with lots of witty banter and humor, the atmosphere of Hold Me Close was much more serious and highly emotional. I've read several books this year that focused on domestic abuse, but this one definitely affected me the most. The way the author portrayed the fear and insecurities of the abused, especially the effect it had on a young child, was really heartbreaking. The chapters from the abuser's point of view were totally creepy and disturbing.

That said, it wasn't all depressing and sad. There was plenty of fun stuff and romance, too. In fact, there were a lot more sex scenes in this one than in the previous one, so the emphasis was definitely on romance rather than suspense. My reason for giving this 4 instead of 5 stars: Luke was a bit too perfect to be real, and the shooting of the detective was a bit of a loose end. The suspense side of it just got resolved too easily and quickly for my taste.

Nevertheless, this series is now among my favorite romantic suspense series. Some of that may have to do with the absolutely awesome narration of the audio books by Phil Gigante and Natalie Ross. Love the way the narrators stick to their gender for narrating the male and female parts and swap back and forth within the chapters. Great audio production!

Another hit from Rosalind James

I read and loved this book so much. The author puts a lot of emotion into her characters, and I had to wipe my eyes every time I read a chapter with the young boy, Eli, in it. That being said, the narrators were good but could have been more awesome at bringing out the emotion in the characters. I did like the male/female switcheroo; it's just the narrators seemed a bit too old for the characters.

That being said, this is a GREAT STORY. and I can't wait to read & listen to the next one in the series.

Cliffhanger

I love you and your writing Lisa, but your cliffhangers in all your stories are killing me. Love how this ties into your other series.

Why state a Stand Alone? We maybe fooled once...

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

It is a disapointment when we have been misled with a simple statment, stand alone. Lisa Renee we will still buy your books even without a cliff. The problem most authors don't realize is we are reading many books before the next comes out in a series and when there is a cliff we often can't remember the details for the next in line. Your books are enteraining but not enough to reread to get the details to throughly enjoy the next in the series. OK I maybe a minority here but I would have waited the year or two for the entire series to come out before I will buy a cliff.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I was intriged to see where Lisa would take this story. Ella has been mentioned and there was always the question of where and what happened to her. I feel the story was slow at the start and the conversations that took place in the short time between Kyden and Ella are a bit farflung. What underground kingpin will divulge the details in the short few days they knew each other. Really? She may have been married, deeply in love and the lust and trust in this situations was too unrealistic. Needless to say we still want to know what happens.

I am a Lisa Renee Jones fan just a bit disapointed.

Disappointing ending

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Most series leave you wanting more but don't end just leaving you hanging. This one just cuts you off, like the end of a section, not the end of a book. There needs to be a completion of each book, as in the Nora Roberts series that make me want to immediately get the next book in a series, but there's a distinct closure to each book in a series.

Would you be willing to try another book from Lisa Renee Jones? Why or why not?

Probably not. I loved the story and the characters, but I don't trust her not to leave the book hanging as in this one.

McLean knows how to torture readers with these angst-filled stories. I didn't think it could get more emotional but she did it again. The time lapse meshes into the book -and the whole series- and takes readers out the other end with a long awaited HEA.

Best of the series so far

Have to read whole series to understand the story line. I cried a lot in this book. I hope the next is just as good. Really good do not miss out.

More Than Amazing

I have read this book and now I have listened and there is nothing better than cozying up to a Jay McLean book and losing yourself. More Than Him continues Logan and Amanda's story but also updates you on all the other More Than crew. It has everything you expect in a McLean book leaving you with all sorts of feels.

Charles and Tatiana do a great job in their performance but I really wish Charles would lose his female voice that is a whiny whisper. I am exaggerating, it's not that bad but it's enough to distract from what an amazing story this is.

Worth the credit, no doubt. If you have no credits, fork over the money because it is THAT GOOD.

I wish I could give it more stars!!

I don't easily give 5-star ratings, but I could give this one 6 stars! :) This book has everything that I love .... a Christian message, romance, drama, surprises, small towns. The only thing lacking in this book is pictures! I would love to see the wedding chapel. I highly recommend this book and offer many thanks to Rachel Hauck for bringing us this story! As for the narration, I liked the narrator's voice, but she didn't make changes for the characters. It was often hard to tell who was speaking. Also, for Peg and Collette, she should have used a British accent. After all, they were from England!

The story line is really enjoyable. Listening to this audiobook is easy and entertaining. The time spent listening to this audiobook is very worth it. You'll enjoy it.

I have read other stories by this author so I was excited to read another and this one delivered also. What a sweet timeless story of love. It took turns that I did not anticipate at all. Sometimes the narrator can ruin a book

I couldn't even tell you how good the story is because the narrator of this book was so overdramatic and over annunciating everything that I had to turn it off. I'm avid Audible listener and this is the first time of ever had to do that. It is also the first time I have felt moved enough to leave a review. Save your credit.

Lori Wilde has a knack for writing delightful small town romances. A year ago I read my very first Twilight, Texas novel, which was Christmas at Twilight. I absolutely adored that book, and I knew that I wanted to be swept back to this place again this year. Ill Be Home for Christmas turned out to be exactly what I wanted in a holiday read.

Wildes Twilight, Texas series is written in a way that you can jump right in anywhere and feel welcomed and right at home. Theres something special about being in Twilight, Texas during the holidays. The town really loves to celebrate this holiday in spectacular fashion.

The way Gabi Preston ends up in Twilight, TX is very much like what happens in that movie The Holiday. Gabi met Joes sister online, and the two temporarily swap homes. The reason Gabi chooses to getaway to Joes hometown is heartbreaking. Once shes in Twilight, she meets Joe and immediately gets pulled into whatever the town has going on during the holidays. A couple of specially placed mistletoe and love definitely fills the air. Gabi and Joes story warmed my heart so much. Joe is such a stand-up kind of guy and endearingly charming! Hes a Christmas tree farmer with a huge heart and falls hard for the city girl. If youre looking for a fun holiday small town romance, I dont think you can go wrong with Ill Be Home for Christmas to keep you in a festive mood. The holiday quotes at the start of each chapter are like chocolate sprinkles on top of the whipped cream of your mug of hot cocoalittle perfect touches that make the holiday sweet.

Audiobook Review

It was my first time listening to C.J. Critt. It took me a while to get used to her voice for Joe. I think I would rather have preferred a deeper voice for him, but overall I thought her narration of Ill Be Home for Christmas was great and made for a festive experience. Critt has recorded so many books that I wouldnt hesitate to try another narration of hers again.
